And when you do use blaster cannons on them, they scatter! And when you're busy shooting down one group of TIE Bombers, there's another group already shooting at the Rebel transports.

+99thJediWarrior You're doing it wrong. The groups scatter when you take out the leader (the top one IIRC). Attack the wingmen first, then the leader. They won't scatter at all then (same for all TIE formations).

this part of the campaign is when lukes story fell apart after raltir it just shifts gears to the hoth scene from empire strikes back it is like they ran out of ideas to continue the story so they just decided well lets just reenact scenes from the movie tada our story is complete

TIE Interceptors at the Battle of Hoth? Talk about overkill. However if memory serves they weren’t invented by the Empire (or George Lucas himself for that matter) until the events of Episode VI.

what a shame the design approach for this game was hindered by constantly changing you out of the a particular vehicle or by on foot. The game is absolutely flippin gorgeous but the experience ruined by constantly interrupting your enjoyment of the flying parts and it's a real shame

Old comment I know but whatever. Converters/adapters aren't going to ever improve the quality, it'll make the connection compatible to use for HDMI but nothing else. Sounds like you're trying to use AV cables which is the problem. Those things are total garbage. The best quality the GC cables can provide is through its component cables (stupid expensive though) or through hardmod methods to use digital HDMI instead. A vWii softmod and Nintendont on a Wii U also brings good results. Hell even S-Video or Wii component cables are decent. Anything is better than the standard analog AV cables the GC comes with. Obviously through all of this it'll still be 480p and have jaggies if that's what you're concerned about. The point is that the image output will be digital and crisp with more clarity, it'll look essentially HD in everything but actual resolution.

IIRC Factor 5 said in an interview once that from a technical standpoint porting to the Xbox was mostly possible, but PS2 would've required a lot of downgrading which makes sense. Xbox could brute force many effects and all the high number of polygons and such easily. PS2 not so much, in order to achieve stuff like the self-shadowing effect you'd have to do a new technique utilizing PS2 specific components which isn't reasonably possible unless if it was an exclusive for the system.
