This mission gave me goosebumps. This was one of the first Star Wars games to truly connect the prequel and original trilogy.

I find it funny that Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter remained on Geonosis for about 25 years and that no one seemed to had had the idea of salvaging it before Wedge had it.

Exactly. In "Attack of the Clones", it was the Slave 1, not Obi-Wan's starfighter, which had the sonic charges. I wonder what the guys and gals of Factor 5 were thinking. Looks like they wanted Obi-Wan's starfighter to be more badass without having an explanation on how the sonic charges ended up on it. But that's just a theory of mine. On the other hand, it could be another sign of "Rebel Strike" being rushed into release.

Man, that was a stellar plan of "Running out in the open and gunning down everything with a blaster pistol that shoots as fast as one from the SNES Star Wars games". Those droids and stormtroopers didn't know what hit 'em!

So, Geonosis is a huge planet and yet Wedge just happened to land within walking distance of Obi-Wan´s Jedi starfighter and it still works and looks like it was brand new after being abandoned for several years in a desert planet with sandstorms, giant bugs and such and he finds the same hyperdrive unit Obi-Wan used a few minutes later not too far from the place he arrived between lots and lots of asteroids, Damn! this is the luckiest guy in the galaxy.

SpookyMilllipede No it didn't. And this is coming from a Gamecube fan. The Cube, like all other sixth generation consoles, had aftermarket video options such as component cables or a VGA box. They do not enable HD gameplay, which on these consoles themselves isn't possible. What they did offer was enhanced definition (huge difference from HD and a difference that needs to be respected), which increased the resolution to 1024x768 and enhanced the sharpness of the colors. It is an enormous improvement to already very impressive consoles, but it is still nowhere near HD in terms of overall picture quality and polygon count.

Rogue Squadron is probably the best Star Wars flight action simulator they made. I wish one day for Project Ace (creators of the Ace Combat series under Namco Bandai) collaborate with EA (which now holds the rights of Star Wars games) to make another Rogue Squadron, if not, a reboot (like how they're doing it with Battlefront)

@14sJakeB190 it is not a parallel universe. After the Clone Wars ended not all of the droids got deactivated. In ROTS SIdious tells Vader to message the separatist ships to deactivate the droid armies, since there is an abandoned core from a droid control ship left over from the first battle of Geonosis in this game it is likely since there was no one on board the core that the order to deactivate the droids was not received. Others from parts of the galaxy also didn't get deactivated such as some of the Vulture Droids were left swarming around the galaxy and some commanders refused to deactivate and kept on fighting while another remnant of the separatists reactivated some droids.

I think that Jango Fett modified Obi-Wan's Starfighter after assisting the Separatists with capturing Obi-Wan during Attack of The Clones. It would have been a backup plan if his Slave I wasn't able to make a quick escape during that time.

@@darinstaley1993 In-canon, they were both designed by Walex Blissex; the Delta-7 "Jedi Starfighter" at Kuat Drive Yards, and the RZ-1 "A-Wing" in the Rebel Alliance's skunkworks facilities after his defection from the Empire. The design lineage is fairly clear.

Because I'm sure Obi Wan had more fuel in it, he probably intended to take off again, but of those Dooku captured him and he never had a chance go back to get the ship, I'd imagine.

Am I the only one who feels sorry for the stormtroopers in this level? Forced to abandon ship (if they were lucky to get to one of four escape pods), immediately being abandoned by their commanding officer and set upon not only by the Rebel pilot that shot down their ship, but by swarms of battle droids from the most destructive conflict in galactic history, remnants of a faction long demonized, with nothing but a few E-Web blasters and their standard issue highly inaccurate E-11 blaster rifles and little to none of the training of the clone troopers these droids faced and survived. I'd hate to have been in their helmets.

From what I have read some of those transports were used as refuel tankers that accompanied fighters on long range missions.

Avoozl according to West End Games' RPG sourcebooks, capital ships can be attributed to those ships that exceed 300m in length. The Imperial Escort Carrier has the same length as the Carrack-class light cruiser, which is about 350m long.
