Well, Endor simply wasn't the definite strike on Empire 😉 Sure, they've lost Emperor and their super weapon, but still had a grasp over the Galaxy: capable leaders in diffrent sectors of it and they pressed on, creating split factions, turning from commanders to war lords, etc. ☺️

I'm repeating my comment about Imperial remnants being more interesting than canon's idea of Empire ending in 5 ABY. But looks like actually we'll be getting more remnants in Season 3 of Mandalorian

Normally i dont hate canon but i agree with you on that part, I like Imperial Remnants of EU But we dont know what happened between Battle of Jakku and Force Awakens I believe they will show more warlords and remnants between those timelines as canon style but good as EU Have faith

Can someone answer me this? I find really weird that the infinite empire being the first galactic level empire/govt/thing and the rakata having developed hyperspace traveling and both with an origin in the unknown regions, why are they still unknown today? I did read about the problems about hyperspace travelling there due to anomalies or other dangers but isnt it weird to develop a tech thats not usable at all in your starting point? How would you know it would be worth to develop bcs it would be usefull on further zones? I can understand that as those zones being dangerous and having their maping data lost after the infinite empire dissapeared it would be hard to map again (specially with all the wars and conflicts that having place in the galaxy almost every time) as exploring that wouldnt be a priority, but still, any info? Thx

The Ratakan version of Hyperspace technology relied on the force which couldn't really be replicated later on. Also the anomalies that prevented the unknown regions from being explored were formed mostly after the Infinite Empire.

@@Dock284 the anomalies existed as far back as the Celestials but force sensitives are generally the best equipped to navigate the unknown regions. but they are very rare and most go to the jedi order where they spend the rest of their lives.

00:13, an omission I would have hoped that this 2022 edition would have included it already, everything is known Eternal Alliance takes over its territory for all of two seconds, then is reduced to one planet until it ceases to exist (the organisation remained influential through other means) the final war of that time's Empire and Jedi is still kinda unknown, but it ends in the Empire's destruction one way or another

I prefer to be neutral but liking both EU and Canon I dont hate Sequels or Canon, I like Imperial Remnants of EU but I hate Yuuzhan Vong and Legacy Era, it all resets SW then we see Jedi vs Sith again Even if Sequels failed and wasted potential, they tried to show us something different but like i said, its failed and I'm unhappy that they wasted potential

the map is misleading. The Infinite Empire did not conquer the entire galaxy, it only controlled a few hundred worlds scattered in the 4 corners of the galaxy. the rakatta who created the infinite empire had invented a technology allowing them to move in hyperspace only to planets where the force is very powerful (corelia, coruscant, tatooine, dathomir....).
