Boba Fett was and still is my all time favorite Star Wars character. Who knew I would one day end up being a real life bounty hunter.... fugitive recovery agent to be exact. May the force be with you.....Always.

The original pattern was by Richard Long, I was part of the original research group on this to ID the kit parts. It was originally drawn and printed from the Finemolds kit. This is why the hull isn't quite right to the miniature. It was corrected some but how much I'm not sure. Ben Yetter is the lad you speak of just in case you forgot.

Mr Guy Cowen helped immensely with the cockpit ID's and I'm sure you were involved in that as well. The RL pattern consisted of only 3 parts. Skirt, Hull and canopy. This is not that pattern. The skirt was remastered completely by Mike S. and the hull went under the major modifications also to get it more like the filming miniature. A new canopy buck was also made for the heavily modified hull (besides accuracy the RL pattern began to disintegrate (turn to powder) and was rendered unusable as a master) Isel C. designed the wings for the pattern. Cutting up some very expensive parts if i remember. Dan Loes working closely with Guy did the cockpit design and ID's. We also broke down a very complex studio model and designed the entire kit to be molded and cast. There are Vac form skirt and hull sets out there.. that are balls accurate. Shows the dedication of the studio scaler to try to keep making these things better and better. Also note on scale...the pilot of the Slave 1 is 1/35 so technically the Slave 1 scale is 1/35 as based off a known object. Is it perfect? NO. Is it a freakin awesome model? I think so. Even more Impressive when assembled and painted by studio scale masters like you, John Simmons, Ben Yetter, Mike S. and others. FXMM is doing great things love the videos! Thanks Starkiller77 for showing your collection.

Cool to see the Slave I reproduction. What scale is your Kenner Boba Fett replica? How accurate is it in comparison to the ILM miniature? Would it be worth the effort to accurise and to paint the Kenner model? Had any kit makers released an injection-mold polystyrene version?

Hey there, so respectfully, I never make myself out to be the most knowledgeable person on these models. I learn a lot obviously having the connections from people who worked in industry including these models. Even though early on these where not know as studio scale. The original modelers would build many times to be close in comparison but obviously didn't always work. To your comment. The slave one today is known as 1/24 scale. Not all the original pilots are the same . Anyway, thanks for watching the channel.
