Yes, you heard that right, Kylo Ren's theme is heard a couple times in Star Wars: The Acolyte (2024). As yet it is unclear exactly why though. We'll have to wait and see! :)

Michael Abels almost perfectly utilizes the John Williams style for Star Wars music. I'm hoping he does more Star Wars music in the future.

As much as I like the show I’ve found the music disappointing compared to other Star Wars.

It's a little weird because on one hand Michael Abels almost perfectly utilizes the John Williams style and mannerisms for Star Wars music. however none of the themes have jumped out enough yet, haven't solidified into a more accessible hummable tune. Perhaps the show hasn't given the music enough room to breathe I don't know. I do think Abels has the potential to wow us. I hope he does more Star Wars. I'm glad you're enjoying the show, I am too. ep 5 and 6 are the best imo.

@@Jurassiccanonking I think the score is intended to be more low-key considering the serious nature of the show. John Williams' grandiose approach would be out of the place here.

@@Hollowshape I agree. I think the Keniner style would have better fit this show. It isn’t as grandiose as Williams but can work in the background while being good to listen to on its own.
