The High Republic era spans 500 years BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin) to about 100 years BBY. It is a period where the Republic is at the Height of its Power and it's a Time of Peace, exploration and innovation. The Jedi were also spread further and were more open, Understanding and more powerful. The Show takes place at the End of The High Republic era, around 100 years before the Phantom Manace.

Love that Carrie Ann Moss and Lee Jung jae seem to be mains in the series because they are great actors that can potentially bring a lot to the story portrayal. I know the book readers are all blah blah blah & debbie downers' about this already because they have read it before, but I suspect the majority of the audience will not know much about this time period. I think it's going to be fun and I'm looking fwd to watching.

Love this trailer I think whoever is behind doing all the work to pick the shots and the music and the Dialog for the character For the trailer did an excellent job I like that line where she says Pick the thread or the needle and then they show the knife against the girls throat that was Very smart They did a good job at this trailer and I'm looking forward to seeing the acolyte

That absolutely can be a Sith. There's two at this point in time. Maybe that's how the Jedi learn of the rule of two? Yoda and Windu discuss it at Qui Gon's funeral so they must know. If it is one of the rule of two Sith, then it's bad news, as they're 130 years out from their victory, which means they've had about 870 years of preparation at this point so the Sith would be pretty powerful.

It can be a Sith. Not because these jedi have to die. But because in Episode 1 only one Jedi on the council assumes the Sith have been extinct for 1000 years. But they have not. Darth Bane changed the rules to rule of two. And they have infiltrated the jedi for many years. The jedi are full of themselves and can easily brush this situation under the carpet!

There absolutely can be surviving witnesses. There just can't be enough evidence to convince the Jedi Council that the Sith are back. They could do something similar to what they did with the Nameless in the High Republic books, at the end of Phase 2. Yoda and some other Master talks about the new threat and they agree that for the time being they need to keep it between themselves.

The trailer looks good for the most part. Even though there’s a lot of lightsaber wielding and it’s called “Star Wars”, this isn’t George Lucas’ Star Wars anymore. With the exception of Anakin and Padme, Star Wars has only touched on relationships which I find irrelevant and could care less about that part of the story. In short, I wish that the producers and directors, including George Lucas, would just tell a Star Wars story without the relationship BS. Leslye Headland has made her statement about how she treated the project and how the show is heavily influenced by her personal life. Rather than just telling a really good Star Wars story as it was in the old days, things are warped and twisted into something else with a Star Wars label slapped on it.

People believe this because in "TPM" Ki-Adi-Mundi says, “Impossible. The Sith have been extinct for a millennium” and Mace Windu says, “I do not believe the Sith could have returned without our knowing.” So, people think it would not make sense for Jedi to encounter a Sith 100 years before. However, the Jedi Council members are saying this in response to Qui-Gon informing them he just encountered a Sith (Maul). So, they are not beyond being in denial when it comes to the subject. The Jedi also have a history of keeping secrets if they believe it is for the general good. So, the Jedi could encounter a Sith and decide to keep it on the down low. In that scenario, the council members could be casting doubt on Qui-Gon's claim to maintain the secret. Also, the Sith in this show could kill every Jedi they encounter! lol
