“The Crossing” and this ep present really strong writing, especially for Omega … I especially like how the droid is throwing her off the ledge, she sees Hunter coming in for the trust catch, and immediately goes “FuQ tHiS droid!!”

I also like how it wasn't really a "Damsel in distress" trope with Omega once again. She's capable enough to fight back, she only moved when Hunter gave her an escape route or plan to follow through with. Really showcases her trust, but also their synergy!

My guess for the season finale is that Cid or the Bad Batch will be taken and Omega has to convince one to save the other with help of the rest of the people we've met this season and bringing the "You can't trust Cid" arc to a close.

Yeah for that arc, more likely she has to convince Cid to drop something important to her to save them. Or the characters we've met in the more one-off episodes, like the thief here and the female pirate, will be involved in the convincing too. Personally I'd like to see something along the lines of Cid being hesitant in the previous episode not because she didn't want to help them but because she couldn't go, i.e. she's being followed by someone (Crosshair) or by the Empire so it was actually to protect them from being captured. I'm sure she'll be compromised at some point and will have to make a hard decision that will either go for or against her initial character.

Hunter and Omega really have plans ahead of missions in case things go wrong, she really did pull of that mid-air manuver with ease!!! So much Temple of Doom vibes from start to finish, and Blind Wave's always coming through with their epic content. The fact that Gonky can be tracked showcased that a defective droid is the most unique of the batch, I'm so looking forward to their new missions that focused on their main goals. Omega really is getting better in her combat skills, etc. After all, she's a fett in blood.

There always seems to be a sizable portion of the Star Wars fandom that is never happy with story expansion. I remember how the prequel trilogy was unfairly attacked. And so it has been ever since. Star Wars seeks to form new generations of fans. For me it's been a wonderful time to be a Star Wars fan. And as far as I'm concerned, a new generation of fans will grow up watching The Bad Batch. It's an amazing animation and has shown us such an unexplored era in Star Wars. Many subjects to be discussed with children and young people. I'm really enjoying to watch weekly a new episode of The Bad Batch ❤️. I hope we can get many more seasons ahead.

The first thing I noticed when the ship got stolen in episode 9 is the thief was clearly a kid. Once I saw that I figured the thief would end up on the crew. The show desperately needs more differentiation and adding an opposite to Omega was sorely needed. You don't bring in someone with the voice acting credits of Yuri Lowenthal for a one-off episode so it wouldn't surprise me if Benni ends up being Omega's closest ally (love interest?) in the long run.

This episodes were really cool, I thought it great and really fun. I especially liked the major Temple of Doom feelings it had. I also loved the score for this episode, it really sold this Western theme it seemed to be going for and felt very dramatic at times. And just like always, the animation is super beautiful, and stunning, it just seemed like every scene on this new planet took things up to the next level when it came to the coloring and detail. It was All really amazing and just so visually pleasing with each new shot. And even though Benni was pretty annoying at some points it was really cool that Yuri Lowenthal did his voice. Also this is kind of random but I really liked the character design fir Mokko. And with the ending of this episode and what seems to be happening in this overall season, I have a feeling that the Batch won’t be staying with Cid for much longer. With everything they’ve done for her and after everything she’s put them through, and she still doesn’t seem to treat them with the respect they deserve, I just feel like they’re going to be so fed up with her that they will take their chances on their own rather then say working for her. Overall I felt like this was a really fun episode, and I cannot wait to see next week’s episode. Personally I still really liked it and thought it were really cool. Although, after episodes 7 and 8 this one really felt like a side step in the story. I know there’s still 6 episodes left so they could easily get back to that story, I just hope that they don’t wait until the last two episodes to do it. Either way I can’t wait to see what will happen in the show next. And I am super curious to see where the rest of the story will lead the Batch and what will happen in next week’s episode.

Was I the only one who felt that this episode had a good deal of elements from Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom? Children/young adolescents toiling in mines for rare treasure, while a despot oversees and exploits them through fear and hunger?...a group of outsiders who end up "freeing" them, leaving them in control of their own destinies?...a climax on a wooden bridge, over a fiery lava pit, where the heroes and villains are equally trapped? Between episode 5 and this one...there are some serious Indy Fans over at Lucasfilm Ltd., working on Star Wars content. A prep for/nod to, The Dial Of Destiny? And, yes: As I was watching Benny (or Beni, this is Star Wars after all), I was immediately thinking, "Okay, he's around 14 years old...so, 28 years later, he'll be 42. Along with The Martez Sisters, what role will he play in the live-action branch of The Mandoverse? And, do they already have an actor slated to play his adult version?" BTW, I'm really glad/thankful that the team got The Havoc Marauder back...that ship is too cool to be lost to a thief. I want to see that baby in live-action, when the time comes. May The Force Be With You, Guys...Always.

This season has been really disappointing. We've had a whole season of character development we know who they are but we're still doing nothing missions. What is the story of this season. They just continue to do jobs? I just want more interesting stories

The show broadly speaking is about how people re-find or more aptly reclaim their identity after having it stripped away from them. The Clones were soldiers but that's been taken from them, they have now found an identity as a sort of family together, but this season is challenging them to look at the galaxy around them and decide whether or not they couldn't or shouldn't be doing more. It's actually surprisingly not so different from Andor in many ways, Cassian had to go through that ark of finding his identity beyond himself and his close friends/family. Ultimately I believe this will be about how the Bad Batch finds their place in the galaxy, maybe as part of a sort of organized proto rebellion, maybe in a more independent way where they resist the Empire by simply using their skills to help wherever and whoever they can.

Got to say its another dull story again. You have great characters, one of the most interesting time periods, the transition between Republic to Empire, nevermind a real chance to explore the darker side with the criminal parts of the galaxy, some chances for really good stories and instead we get these dull missions of the week, that go wrong but, hey its ok because Tech or Omega learn something. In a cave. Or a tunnel. Its dull. Its repetitive and the show needs to get back to some actual story telling with new plots.

@@pastychong your logic is amazing. Not seeing someone in a universe full of hundreds of characters is bad writing. The whole point of him is that he’s not in the bad batch anymore. Our characters need character development. Tech being more human his characteristics being very autism like and being shown and explained so well. Omega growing as both a soldier and a person hunter learning how to not be a soldier and a parental figure, it’s good writing. You’re just expecting more than what’s possible with the episode lengths. It’s a kids show at the end of the day that’s doing a good job of making it fun for kids and have a story.

Phee has the same amount of screen time as him 😂. And I get that Tech has been developed, I enjoyed ep 9 for that reason alone. But Omega didn’t do anything this episode except trust someone who stole from them. We get it. She’s pure and innocent. She jumped out of a tube to save AZ in the s1 finale, we don’t need to be reminded of how selfless she is anymore. Each one of these episodes is just a copy paste because clearly they relegated their talented writers to Andor and Mando. Also Hunter has barely developed this entire season. He’s the same person as before. Except now he’s trusting Omega and sending her off on her own, the exact opposite of what a parent protecting their child would do.

It just feels like they’ve abandoned crosshair and the overall plot that they’ve been “setting up”. Don’t get me wrong I love the batch but it’s getting repetitive just watching mission of the week kind of episodes when there’s massive plot lines already established in the show (crosshair, clone conspiracies, rampart) that are hardly dwelled on and are way more interesting than doing missions for cid every week

@Harrison Gibson I'm just so over the amount of filler, s1 was bad enough with the filler. And I really don't like Omega, she's really annoying, imo and that might just be cus of her voice
