@@LegoheadMC Yeah, I agree. The second episode was necessary if the writers wanted Omega to save herself while including a time skip. Obviously, Wrecker and Hunter would be searching for Omega. Either the show includes an episode where they fail to find Omega or else the show has Omega immediately save herself with a quick line of exposition that suggests Hunter/Wrecker were looking for her without showing it. Even if episode two was less consequential to the over-arching plot, it still made Omega's escape more meaningful.

I think maybe Palps tells everyone that Project Necromancer is just for making a clone force sensitive army like how Gideon wanted, but really it’s just his own resurrection. That’s why he carefully says that it’s the future of the Empire.
@TheGreater-ScopeVillain11 ай бұрын
Indeed. Because Emperor Palpatine himself *_IS_* the Empire. That was what he explained to one of his protege's, Gallius Rax, in the canon Aftermath book trilogy: an Empire's primary objective - its sole reason for existence - is to protect and serve its Emperor, and if it fails in that purpose, it must not be allowed to continue living. That was why he created the Contingency and planned for the Empire to be destroyed and reborn into the First Order should it fail to prevent his death.

I loved the spontaneous nature of the escape. I kind of feel like that's why it worked. The whole base was focused on the Emperor's visit. The patrolling stormtroopers commented on the change in routine, so they were distracted and not likely to notice anything that was off. I feel like if Omega and Crosshair had planned an escape attempt, it wouldn't have gone nearly as well because they'd be locked into a plan and would have trouble thinking on their feet. This worked because they approached it as, "Well, we've gotten this far, let's see how much farther we can get" all the way until they were free. Rick's comments on Omega being the equivalent of O negative made me realize that there probably is a symbolism to her name. There are literally millions of clones that are all surprisingly unique. There are the ones that were "regs" that make up the Grand Army of the Republic. There are the "defectives" that make up the damaged ones like 99, and then there are the "defectives" that turn out to be extremely useful, the Bad Batch. And then there is Omega. I'm thinking that Nala Se named her that because she's the end-all to Kamino's cloning experiments. None of them have gone completely according to plan. Some of them were massive failures. But Omega is... perfect. No, she's not a direct clone of Jango, but whatever alterations they did to her worked exactly the way they were supposed to. And Nala Se is so fond and protective of her because she's a manifestation of her life's work in ultimate success.
@kungolaf449911 ай бұрын
The Kaminoans in Season 1 said that Omega was key to their survival and that ”this new Empire” must not learn of her importance. That is why Nala Se helped her escape in the second episode of Season 1.

The discussion around Emerie Karr reminds me of what Kilian Plunkett said about the doctor in The Zillo Beast Strikes Back: _"It's always odd that the well-meaning scientist doesn't seem to be doing anything to end world hunger or, y'know, find a cure for the common cold. In all these movies, a well-meaning scientist is always working on a death ray or a killer robot or something. But they're well-meaning."_
@TheGreater-ScopeVillain11 ай бұрын
It's because those in power recognise those well-meaning scientists' skills and abilities, and use their wealth, power and influence to snatch them up for whatever projects they consider a priority. Doctor Sionver Boll served the Galactic Republic likely because they were the reigning galactic government at the time. Now, the new top regime, the Galactic Empire, has their own great scientists, like Emerie Karr, at their disposal.

Amazing episode. I just have one small gripe with it - at 7:09 "We can contact Hunter and Wrecker!" In the first ep. Omega asks Emerie if she can at least tell her where her brothers are, implying she thinks the Empire has them too. Which is consistent with the S2 finale; last time she saw them they'd been captured by Hemlock. This line of hers contradicts that. It would have made more sense if she'd said "we can contact Echo" since he was on the loose at that time. Or "we can contact Rex".
@LotRFanFilm11 ай бұрын
Dang, that’s actually a really good point.
@magickoopa2411 ай бұрын
I don't know, I think she has enough optimism about her brothers that she could assume they were able to break out if they were captured. Or maybe emorie told her "we don't know where they are" as a sign of kindness. That said, her not mentioning anyone else does feel more like them trying to connect with the previous episode being only those two as well

I wonder if Omega is fully force sensitive or if she's a catalyst, kinda like the final ingredient, to make the cloning of force sensitive beings possible? Also: I reaaaaally hope she survives this season and makes an appearance in the next Fallen Order, maybe even becomes part of the crew! That'd be so cool!!!🤩 Additionally: That new hairstyle suits her so well, hope she keeps it.

@Ace-hz9dr11 ай бұрын
By the looks of things, Omega is not force sensitive. However from what I could tell, she can be a blood source for bodies and those bodies could keep the same M count as the original donor. I mean Palpatine can’t give all his blood to a single clone, but he can use clones to supply his own clones. If that makes sense. It should be noted that this sort of experiment has been tested before at least once in Legends by Dooku when he tried to give Grevious force sensitivity by mixing Syfo Dias’s blood in with Grevious’s, however the experiment failed cause Grevious was not a good host. (I also think I remember Palpatine sabotaging it because a Force sensitive Grevious would have been way to powerful and actually made him worried)

I absolutely loved these first three episodes! I’m so glad that the Bad Batch series is finally back for its third and final season. I felt like everything about these episodes were just so amazing, there were so many scenes and moments throughout these episodes that felt perfect. I thought that the writing was amazing, the voice acting was perfect, and the animation was beautiful and was able to perfectly capture whatever it was trying to portray. I also feel like each voice actor was giving an amazing performance and through their deliveries they felt like they were fully dedicate and invested to their character and their roles. And the music for these episodes were fantastic, I’m so glad that they brought Kevin Kiner back to do this shows score, I can’t wait to hear more of the music he composed for this season. I really hope that they are able to continue, keep up with or in some capacity even improve upon this level of great care and high quality that was put into each aspect of these episodes for the rest of this season. I loved the chemistry between Omega and Crosshair in these episodes, I thought that they made for such a perfect duo. Their relationship had a really great balance of being engaging, endearing and at times funny. I thought it was really cool to get to see just Hunter and Wrecker together. Not only does show just how much of the squad they have lost throughout the course of the show but I just loved getting to see how dirty and worn down their armor has become, showing how the two of them have had to go through a lot more difficult/dangerous situations in order to try and get Omega back. I am super curious to learn more about the different kinds of experiments that are going on at Mount Tantiss and I loved getting to see more of Dr. Hemlock again. I think he is such a great and well written villain, I cannot wait to see/learn more about him throughout this season. I am also really curious about Emerie Karr, I really hope that we get to learn more about who she is and what her purpose is during this season, I think her connection to Omega makes her a really compelling character. But above all I am curious to find out why Omega’s blood appeared to work with (what I believe to be) Palpatine’s whereas no other Clone’s did. Is it because she is Force Sensitive, is it because of her genetic defects or is it simply because she has female blood/DNA whereas the rest of the Clones have male blood/DNA? I can’t wait to see where the ending of these episodes will lead into next week’s episode and how they will impact the future of this show and its continuing story. So far I am really loving everything about this show and I can’t wait to see the rest of the season and where all the characters and this story and will go next. I absolutely cannot wait for next week’s episode, I am so excited!

She got the Name Omega because she was an experiment on a natural clone, Boba Fett was called Alpha because he was the first and she is Omega because she was the last. 99 was the number of his Clone batch, so each time the Kaminoans created a new batch of Clones from a Sample the first 2 numbers of the Clone's ID is their batch number, for example 5's was the 55th batch and all his brother started with 55, Captain Rex is CT-7567 so his batch was 75th Batch and Crosshair was CT-9904 is 99th batch. The 99th Batch of any sample was seen as Defective Clones because the sample had degraded too much to be viable, but Nala Se was trying to see if they could enhance the clones to make them viable and thus Clone Force 99 was born.

Isn't the ship they hijacked and escape in the same one or similar to the ship Omega and Hera hijacked in s1e12? I just realized it looks very familiar.

The one thing that comforts me about seeing all the atrocities being committed at Mount Tantiss with cloning, experimentation, and dark science is that it all results in a toughened, yet wholesome and idealistic scrapper raised in the Jakku desert, waiting to breathe new life into the Jedi Order. Palpatine tried to play nature, and his hubris resulted in the re-birth of the Jedi Order he destroyed. The Force, it seems, is not without a sense of ironic humor.

Perhaps indeed. Palpatine's goals are certainly achieveable by him, but the reason he didn't get there in the end was likely due to sabotage by enemies rather than because he was unable to succeed himself. At least one half of the Force is completely on Palpatine's side. After all, Darth Sidious is the single greatest and most pure expression of the Dark Side ever, even more so than the likes of the Son from Mortis. The eventual creation of Rey is a poetic development in this cloning plan, but had it not been for the interference of enemies such as Nala Se and the Bad Batch, Palpatine might've succeeded in mastering cloning and conquered the universe long ago, and Rey would've never become necessary for him to create.

You're probably going to run into spoilers in the questions on Badonkagonk since it doesn't seem like you've watched the trailer, so be careful!

14:50 wait a damn minute... Omega > O-megative > O- blood, the universal donor?? The way i got there with the name was dumb that seems exactly it!!

the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. shes the end of a line of nala say's research. Omega is a template to graft other genetic sequences too. She's a universal receiver.

Funny Eric mentioned how The Emperor was walking, I noticed it right away and couldn’t take my eyes off his walking cadence. Felt so weird seeing his arms swaying back and forth so casually

What an episode. Really really awesome. If Palp is successful in capturing Omega for further cloning, what implication does this have on Rey? If they're not successful, they know Se was head of the original program and will go back to her to repeat experiments (which is maybe why we have failed Palp clones like Rey's father). If they’re successful, perhaps it will be revealed that the Emperor we see in RotJ was a host clone all along with Palpatine’s spirit 😀Which is why he could just transfer to Exogol anyway. It’s not the first time he has done this...

i could not take my eyes off of The Emperor whenever he was onscreen. i think about his Chancellorship in the Clone Wars series and how he changed...and how he really didn't change at all. other than his lightning-ravaged face and the hateful glare of his amber eyes staring from under the shadowy cowl of his hood, he seems to be the same man. it scares me that he always was. many Sith have a before and after concerning their personalities after turning to the Dark Side but Sheev was callously Darth Sidious from the beginning.

Do you think those lights in the evil lab have mood lighting like an LED?
@bryanchandler238811 ай бұрын
I said after the last episode of season 2 I don't think tech is dead. They found his googles but you never see him dead. I feel he's at the lab somewhere and with all the times they keep saying tech in the episode makes me think he's still alive and they are maybe trying to do something with him.

M counter = Midiclorian counter Which means the capacity to use the force trough the midiclorians and the project of palatine is to create his clones but so far, those clones can be created but they all have not midiclorians … why omega does, I still not sure how Nala did, but if she can create force users clones, that’s a really broken capacity in Star Wars universe
