dont worry I am not mad. I know lucas developed the empire after the germans in world war one and two and he used the roman empire too, as well as asian influences. he used pretty much everything what he could. dog fights from the pacific air war where his modell for the fighter scenes of his old triology but I am pretty sure that the us civil war was at least in some part some kind of role model for the clone wars. in some way it is a civil war. one galaxy divided and a seperatists movement

Actually when the GCW began it was pretty much the same as the American War for Independence. Heck, even the Declaration of whatever made by the Rebels bears some similarities with the Declaration of Independence.

Palpatine uses emergency powers to wage an anti-secessionist war and turns out to be evil and exploit Annakin's anti-slavery cause. The Lincoln figure in Star Wars, Palpatine, turns out to be the bad guy.

Not betwen the "Nazi Empire" and the Allied Powers I dont think Stalin would be chump of Luke. The Empire was the Republic so Palpatine would be more a President or Prime Minister that took full powers he isnt like Hitler that had ideology and party .He advance trought the Republican Burocracy and gain full power. The Republic corrupted itself it wasnt conquered.
