Great review, guys. As much as I want this, I already have the 2006 version and am very happy with it. $50 is way too steep! Maybe if I can get it on clearance, but I don't see myself paying more than $30 for it.

Don't buy that mediocre piece of crap. I'm not a huge fan of star wars toys, but if they are anything like the Jurassic World toys, they are going to be wrong in every wak possible. And this time, Lego is not going to save us.

+Arturo García Yeah, I'm going to boycot Hasbro until they start offering better product. I can't shake the feeling that all the Force Awakens, Jurassic World, and Marvel figures look disturbingly similar to the knockoff toys I used to find in the dollar store in the late 90s. When their new 5-point articulation Marvel figures came out at $5, I was like "Oh, ok, low budget figures for kids, sure." but then they just raised the price on the $5 figures to $8, and made pretty much everything else in the line garbage. What the hell happened? Either high price, high quality or low price low quality. Hasbro's slapping everyone in the face. Disney almost cut ties with them, and I really wish it had happened. Hasbro was planning to buy Dreamworks, and Disney said it was a conflict of interest. If Hasbro had decided to do it anyway, they would have total control over Transformers, which kind of seems like a good idea, and Disney would have given Marvel and Star Wars to someone else.

To quote my favourite movie of all time, Jurassic Park: Imagine that you are in a Wallmart. Going in to the toy area, you find these star wars toys. You look at them, and they stare at you carefuly. You would think that Hasbro didn't restock them like in Jurassic World, but no, no with star wars. They are everywere. And then the buying starts, but not one, not 2, but 3 to 4 sets. Because hasbro's toys are moneygrabbers. They attack using coordinated marketing tactics. And they use this (shows a star wars box), a pretty box that brings nostalgia like a new movie from an old franchise. And is not like the Jurassic World toys that can break in the store, oh no no no no no, they are sealed, so you can't test them. They will break here, or there, maybe they will break after 2 days, or you loose the pieces. And the worst part is: you are alive... when you realised you wasted your money. BTW I LOVE Chris Stuckmann's review, you guys should totally make more of these, they are awesome reviews!!!!

It's absolutely disgusting seeing the drop in quality from their older X-wings. Your friend hit it right on the nail. Hasbro knows that Star Wars will sell and they absolutely don't care about the quality of their product. All they care about is ripping you off by doing the absolute minimum. Just from looking at it you can tell that thing is cheap sheep. Unfortunately, I must admit that I am a sucker for their 6" line which has had, dare I say, "decent" quality. But man do I feel guilty for paying a company that is capable of releasing crap like this...for FIFTY dollars. That's 1/3 the price of the Sphero BB-8. 3 of these things don't even come close to what that BB-8 is worth, geez.

+ChinAMAPutatoDragun You should look into Bandai's 6" kit line. Same scale as the Black series, but with exceptional quality even as just a straight build. So far they have Vader, a Stormtrooper, Biker Scout with Speeder Bike, C-3P0, and an R2-D2 R5-D4. They also have some vehicle kits at 1/72 scale. Tie Fighters, X-wing, and Snowspeeder so far.

Hasbro have bought out most of their competition; don't expect standards to rise. Who would have thought that the post prequel hinterland was a golden age for Star Wars memorabilia. Long live the Vintage Collection and Saga line.

I remember getting a far larger X-Wing for fifty buck a few years ago, it came with Wedge Antilles. Wedge could also fit in his X-Wing. You know, the old Kenner made electronic Power of the Force X-Wing that my grandfather got me for Christmas all those years ago is better than this toy in two respects, one, it has a couple neat electronic sounds, and two, IT FITS ACTION FIGURES! There's plenty of room in the cockpit. $50 is too much for Poe's X-Wing. It's too small. It should have been $20 or $30 maximum. $50 dollars for that thing is an extortionist price and is a little disgusting to think about. What a way to take advantage of Star Wars.

The cool thing about the "engines that split in two" is that before the original Star Wars came out, Ralph McQuarrie did concept sketches for the X-Wing that had the splitting engines. The revisited his old sketches, and based the new ones on it which is super cool. You were far too generous with that review IMO. That is a $20 X-Wing (Maybe justified $30 with the figure) being sold for $50. I would give it a 3 or 4. Everything Hasbro is doing is pretty much garbage. I've lost most of my respect for them. And they have all the freaking Disney licenses aside from Big Hero Six (and those figures were done pretty damn well by Bandai.)

the falcon from force awaken is good, bad things is the cut off of the front with nerf darts shooting out, no landing gear and the back play feature just shrunken alot between the power of the force 1997 one. but beside that i'll give the newer falcon a 6.8 out of 10.

what the hell happened at hasbro that in the last 2 years all there stuff has turned to shit, the only reason i say 2 years is the allosaurus and pachirhinosaurus from 2 years ago, then again those were designed in 2009 so has hasbro been going to shit sense 2010 with the possible exception of kenner re-releases and the black series for star wars ?

Hasbro has made a BIG mess with this poorly made toy. tank you for mention that the nose is the made of ugliest material ever and the way the cannons are all bend up in the box also if you keep talking of the hack sooner or later it going to break. so expensive and small, better buy old x wings to know what a well made toy looks like. very desapointed

+Benbot I'm really losing faith in them as a company. The plastics are now all super cheap. The paint jobs have gotten worse. I'm just over it. All the micro machines are bent in weird shapes. Just crappy now. Same for all their other lines. Marvel stuff? Junk. Transformers? Junk. Jurrasic World? Borderline offensively bad. Hasbro is sitting there wondering why kids are more into LEGO now? Probably because at this point they are the only well-built franchise related toys they can find now. Why doesn't Disney just drop them? Bandai made the Big Hero Six figures, and they were all very very good IMO. Why not just give them all to them?
