Excellent analysis. I am intrigued by your viewpoint because I can clearly see it in many different forms of media, not just Star Wars. The same fate fell upon Halo after Microsoft began changing the game and its lore inside and out. Not for agenda driven reasons like Star Wars, but by chasing the wrong demographic of gamers in pursuing a profit by mimicking other competing games. Every one wants the same returning audience as Call of Duty, the numbers are large and the motivation understandable, but their inability to replicate the CoD formula kills franchises in the process and drives away originally loyal fans/consumers.

This was an awesome video. Something I have also noticed is there are articles directed at the issues fans have with TLJ and they have several valid points that fans agree with and then they will add points that are vague that say that it was a bold new different direction. And as I read those articles I say to myself, what Star Wars fan had that problem? I feel they are trying to do exactly what you said about the earworm and try to win the disappointed fans over. The problem is, some of us have brains.

Yes, the articles written on the subject are extremely clever SJW propaganda, using techniques to marginalize the majority of us who see the emperor has no clothes, by saying things such as "a vocal minority of fans", and other such things that make us seem like we're just a bunch of butt-hurt crybabies. I've learned a lot about SJW writing as a result of watching the "ComicBookPro Secrets" KZbin channel, as he points them out again and again while reading articles on the subject. Seeing the specifics has really opened my eyes to how it works. Be well.

Its only reasonable to assume that movies can be used to influence cultue. In fact it may be recorded fact that movies still today are used to support various agendas. Since the core elemments are good guys vs bad guys we dont need to much to really just entertain us. A sprunkle of myth and legend here and there and will can all sit back and watch soace knights with laser swords bring down the evil tyrant. But the mecanisms today are more complex as they battle for your attention and also your opinion. The last jedi does hijack the space saga in so many ways and dares you to challenge the direction they empower. They have grafted in modern social points to force us to accept new social perspectives. Its just too obvious. And is re inforced by populst movies and drama and social puppets that imitate inteligent actors. We must however cone to this conclusion by our own mind as movies have allways attempted to manipulate us, but now the evudence is abudant.

It's also possible that Rian Johnson is just a bad writer, and modern critics are easily impressed by lazy attempts at an 'intellectual,' postmodernist deconstruction of Star Wars, presented with striking cinematography, which also contains blatant nods to social-media-friendly feminist ideals. So, basically, the critics want to look smart, they like the pretty pictures, and they don't want to 'trigger' anyone by complaining about feminism. So, The Last Jedi = good

While there may be truth in that, the aspect that gives me pause is how the propaganda machine is running, and the specific wording being employed by writers to marginalize dissent, while still parroting the party line, is occurring. It's very much propaganda styled language -- and it must be taught in universities to be so universal in the media at this point.
