Honestly, The writing these past two seasons have been amazing, and the female character's in this series are ACTUALLY Strong female character's unlike the Sequels, Mary Sue Rey. Love how this series has kept all generations interested, Prequel, Original, Sequel. I can safely say this series puts a smile on everyone's face, this is true fan service.

I've waited over 37 years for this. It's like Star Wars finally came full circle for me. When I was a kid, my uncle surprised me by taking me to see Return of the Jedi on opening weekend. I will never forget that moment when, at the Pit of Sarlacc, when Luke sprang into the air and caught the lightsaber that R2D2 launched over to him. When that green lightsaber lit up, the ENTIRE theater was darn near on their feet and ROAAAAAARED with cheers and applause. Now, 37 years later the venue (KZbin vs. theater) has changed, but the fan reactions have not. So freakin awesome! I love watching all of these reaction videos.

I don't understand why so many people online condemned people's reactions to seeing Luke like this. These reactions are totally warranted, because not only is this the way fans WANTED to see Luke portrayed in the sequels- as a strong, wise, experienced, seasoned, and caring male hero and badass who can still kick ass as a young man or an old man- but after seeing how the sequels humiliated, berated, nerfed and insulted his character and legacy... seeing fans of Star Wars respond to him like this is justified. You can have your strong female characters (as a fan of Mara Jade and others, I'm all for it) and you can have as much diversity as you want. But if you have to tear down the legacy heroes, humiliate them, and mock their accomplishments and characters just to elevate your new ones... what do you think is going to happen? Well, I think the criticisms the sequels and other shows have received thus far has given us that answer.

I never thought Star Wars impacted my childhood (born in '75) because while I liked the movies, I wasn't a fan fan. Then I saw this episode and when I saw Luke, I started crying like a baby. George Lucas infiltrated my childhood in ways I didn't know. God bless Jon and Dave for doing justice.
