Anakin, my heart breaks for this character every time I think of him. If only Quigon did not die at Naboo, if Obi-wan was as sensitive as Quigon, If only his mother had not died, if Ashoka had stayed if Padme hadn't died..... It would seem to me that his fate was sealed from the very beginning, everyone he ever loved and cared for was sadly taken away from him.... Rest easy with the Force from when you came Anakin Skywalker, you had an uphill battle against fate, I doubt anyone could have done better. I choose to remember you as Anakin and not Darth Vader (though he was dope!). Thanks @SWFT for sharing.

Star Wars is not about lightsaber fights or galactic shootouts. Star Wars is about Anakin's suffering ever since childhood. Losing everyone he loved along the way. There was no better way to portrait a fallen protector of the peace. Goodjob Lucas and good job SWFT for probably the best tribute to Anakin. A lot of tributes seem to leave Ahsoka out of the story, when in fact she was the perfect character to add depth to Anakin. If only could we get some shows or a movie that explores Davy Jones the same way Clone Wars did for Anakin, the world would be perfect.

Like how you emphasised Ahsokas impact. Anakin tributes always seem so empty and lifeless without her. Pretty sure Lucas said she’s basically his little sister and he was keeping himself in check to be a good role model for her. It’s why Anakin in the show is more heroic and caring than in the movies. After she leaves Palpatine had him all to himself to corrupt. You can see his demeanour get darker in the last 2 seasons when Ahsoka isn’t around. It’s a nice setup for Revenge of the Sith. I’ve always liked the prequels but the Clone Wars is what really saved Anakin as a character. Added some much needed depth. I remember back in 2002-2008 he was considered an absolute joke in the fanbase and a disgrace to Vader’s legacy. Nice to see that perception change over the years with all these new fans who grew up with Clone Wars and the Prequels coming in. Really excited to see Hayden back in the Kenobi and Ahsoka show’s with the fanbase supporting him this time. Very satisfying for me as someone who’s always liked Anakin.

Anakin has been always been a warning tale with how to balance your emotions and use them correctly. I've definitely been where Anakin has been with my career and relationships. It's ok to feel those emotions he was feeling, but I never gave in to the dark side (definitely came close though once lol). It was important that I transmute that energy into something positive and practice the art of releasing. That's why Anakin has always been my favorite because his story is so relatable and also is a learning lesson.

I really enjoyed the emphasis of how he hates the Jedi when he's doing Order 66. Also including the loss of Ashoka was important to show how much of an opening that left for Anakin to be manipulated by Palpatine. Also the way Luke turns Vader back to the Light Side was perfectly captured with the reflection of his downfall to the Dark Side. I loved it hope to see more awesome work.

I found his turn so sad. I'm a newer fan watching the movies in chronological order and I had grown to love anakin despite me knowing about his turn beforehand because I only know snipets of the movies but i still was so devastated when he fully turned.

I used to think so too, but now that I’m older I think he had to. The Jedi in the story were politicized, controlling, and literally blind. They themselves were turning because they had been in positions of power for so long unquestioned. The order couldn’t go on the way it was and losing their system and power ended up allowing the real good to come out in the Jedi!

One of the things I love most about Star Wars, depending on which era your watching, old trilogy, prequels, sequels, series, the show/film doesn’t pander to you and makes statements facts unapologetically. Ex. Ashoka: I’ve seen what those emotions can do, even to the best of us. Anakin is truly the chosen one. By killing all the Jedi and Palpatine he brought balance to the force. The Jedi had forgotten what it had meant to be a Jedi and only focused on the war not knowing that they have died by the hands of fate and Palpatine. Then Anikan and killed his master to save his son. That was the moment that there was true balance in the force.
