Very nice looking wave. Figures look good and if you're into OT, you've got yourself a winner. Great they have redone Rex, he's always been one of my fav characters. Looks like your next week or so BB will be taken doing all the reviews. Can't wait! 👌

Back during the 90s, a lot of the background info on characters and certainly EU figures in that He-man style power of the force 2 figures though by then the figures looked better. The cardbacks had info on the characters, and i always found that really cool.. and helpful! I guess today we are all so close to a computer or phone who can google info on that character and have their entire book/movie/tv series life explained in text or even find youtube videos on the subject. But yeah i feel the back of cards really miss something out, if they aren't going to show as you want the history of the figures they need something else.. currently its just boring.

Also The comment about Leia being soft goods is what i was saying prior to Luke/Leia being remade. If Hasbro make it plastic.. people would want soft goods, if Hasbro make it soft goods.. people would want plastic.. because the soft goods tech has gone backward since last time hasbro was using it effectively.. i feel like these characters just cannot have a perfect figure yet.. and its almost a waste to make one that some people will still be unhappy with. I dunno maybe the kitbashing price of making Leia deluxe with soft goods is cheap enough it wont effect another figure being made.

A brilliant wave all around, and it is so awesome to get five from the original 21 all at once, with guarenteed four more coming next year already, plus Hammerhead and Greedo probably coming in the next year and a half assuming we unlock tier 1 of the Haslab. That puts us in a pretty good place for the original 21. If you count the Tusken, Jawa, Power Droid, Death Star Droid, and Kenner Fett, that's almost everything done in TVC 2.0. We really need a new Threepio and Derek Torent, the grey Death Squad Commander, plus Ponda Baba with a bigger head on his Kenner card, and Zutmore. I'd also like to see R5 on his Kenner card come back out with the warning label moved, hopefully painted properly this time.

Can’t be disappointed with the wave overall, especially for new collectors getting into the OT or Star Wars in general. Not too happy or disappointed with the trooper because I do feel the difference in the plastic quality a bit more gummy than what I previously acquired and my guess is that it is based on a much older figure. (Rogue One) Leia is great, awesome presence in general. And Vader, well it’s Vader and there’s little to complain about except for the shoulders, the pads should be gray with the black line overlay. It’s a small nitpick. That Dark Times sculpt is what got me in TVC in the first place. Skipping on Rex (I’ve none of the 501st), Luke (waiting for the definitive Farmboy) and R2 (can’t justify the price for a figure with no real accessory or display options).

Doesn’t have to be Kenner. TVC 1.0 used to have images of other lines. One of the Clone Troopers for example has the Power of the Jedi Clone.

Hey BB. I was looking at my Dark Times Obi-Wan and it made me think how underrated some figures truly are. With morale very low with the Cantina not fully backed and such a tumultuous year behind us legacy scale collectors, I was thinking maybe you could make a video about the most underrated TVC figs according to you! Fantastic wave. A few details you may have missed with these figures: So far, every sample of Vader has a factory error where the section of sculpted cloth over his chest armor has been painted glossy, as if it were part of the armor itself. A very distracting error, especially because you can see the distinct break on the tabards where it goes from glossy to matte. The stormtrooper has been given dark green eye lenses, whereas the previous version was simply black. Finally, Hasbro accidentally(?) telegraphed an upcoming astromech repaint on the back of R2-D2's card. Note the two distinct black panels on Artoo's body which should definitely not be there. Think they accidentally mixed in some upcoming BAD parts when it was time to snap that photo.

Luke Skywalker X-wing I was disappointed in its too similar to the previous one, almost exact you wouldn’t know the difference unless you put them up next to each other.. But for those who didn’t get the previous one then here it is!

Because its a different figure. The new Vader is far superior to VC93. The Luke is a straight repack.

Rex still has some issues. His pauldron doesn’t fit well and the pistols are too small. To make it better I used the 3.75 black series/clone wars Rex pauldron and it fits much better. The pistols I used are from the animated version and they are much better in his hands.
