Not just in denying that THERE was actually still good in him but that he also indirectly admitted that he was wrong when making those mistakes and turning to the dark side to pursue power, status, while he was dealing with his worries about saving Padme. I mean, who doesn't watch Episode III and wish and think everytime that Anakin would just kill Sidious or expect a different outcome each time you watch it... I'm of the belief that Anakin always wanted to be a father. Despite his seeming concern when Padme mentioned that she was pregnant, which was based more on his visions of her demise than apprehension about being a father, I can picture Anakin, who doubtless would want to give a child a better life than the one he received, as being as good a father as he was a husband. It also makes you realize how opposed in his heart he was to his own murder of children, to think that all he wanted was a child of his own. The regret at his deeds and the long-awaited chance to have what he always wanted must have weighed the heaviest on him at his death.
@Kaidofan-n4r Жыл бұрын
That his chance of meeting his children after their birth was lost due to his embrace of the dark side. But his moment of meeting them and their teens became short and brief. Although Princess Leia is his daughter without knowing and the young rebel is his son who will save him from what he has become to be. After Vader knew that that girl was a daughter. And this news stirred the intense shock in Anakin and he felt regret later for what he had done to her previously.

It seemed so ironic and so fitting for some reason that after the most evil villain of all time was finally defeated, when he was unmasked we could see and hear that he was nothing more than a tired, dying old man. One of the most powerful moments in movie history is seeing the mask of the galaxy's most feared warrior taken off and then seeing the face of a sad and broken old man underneath. EDIT: Yes, I know he's supposed to be in his 40s, but he still has the visage of an old man. The Dark Side has drained him of his life and youth. It has taken more from him than it ever gave back.

It was a combination of using the dark side so much for a long time, which accelerated his ageing process and turned his eyes yellow. His skin is a deatly pale titanium white because it had been confined in the suit for over a decade and not being exposed natural sunlight. The dark can also cause the user's skin to a pale titanium white as one of the side effects of deep immersion and prolonged usage of the dark side. Palpatine and Darth Malgus were extensive, deep dark side used and it greatly disfigured them over time. Their eyes were a deep Indian yellow and permanent red and their skin was a deathly titanium white. The extensive burn damage on his body from Mustafar's extreme heat were the large, deep scars on his face and head that was still healing up.

@@iseeyou4117The Jedi Council was right that it was too late for him to be taken into a monastic order like the Jedi are. Anakin has remained a child and wanted a mother figure who would feel and love him, and who he would protect whenever needed. He is simply not the independent type of guy who has much personal responsibility, mainly because he trusts people too much.

I feel really bad for David Prowse (the person who was in the suit) as George Lucas screwed him badly. George never told Prowse his voice was being replaced and only found out when he saw the film. Years later he made the accusation he was stiffed by Lucas and Lucas responded by banning him from all conventions. The thing is Prowse loves Star Wars and loved playing Vader.

A bittersweet end to one of the most iconic villains in all of cinema, even more so now that James Earl Jones has become one with the Force, alongside David Prowse and Sebastian Shaw, all three who equally contributed in bringing this legendary character to life. Rest in peace, and may the Force be with you.

What I like even more is according to legends Anakin didn't believe he was worthy of being redeemed. He didn't save Luke so he could come back as a force ghost. He did it because he already lost Padme and Obi-Wan. He didn't want to lose his own flesh and blood. And when Obi-Wan forgives Anakin and decides to teach him the secret of being a force ghost is an incredible story. Anakin was never one who sought power for power's sake. Even at the end of it all when offered the power of immortality he didn't think he deserved it. That's why I've always liked Anakin as a character.
@atulvikram52792 жыл бұрын
Anakin sought power just so he could save his loved ones and could bring peace after the clone wars as he was tired of it. He never did anything for himself. I have this theory about vader: when ever he battled for the empire, be it in comics ,shows, movies, he probably hoped someone would actually defeat him and kill him so that his suffering which is his life would end. He wouldn't care about the legacy he left behind as Anakin Skywalker a hero and as Darth Vader a villain, he just wanted to die and be free of all pain, hatred and misery. He would have badly wanted to go in battle as he thought that was his only option, but when luke came along everything changed.
@leonduncan33272 жыл бұрын
Unlike the part where Anakin's entire progress as a Jedi and Jedi Knight with experiences and how succeeded many battles than most other jedis, He believed he was going to be ranked as one of the Jedi Masters but unfortunately got declined by Windu's perspective and the others's disagreement, He got a bit upset about it as he should of had that rank.

@@deankeefezafirino17 The Jedi became corrupted because they began to serve the republic instead of the force. That's why Qui Gon was never a member of the council, and why count dooku left and became a sith: Dooku wanted to use the force to defeat evil, and then became corrupted by it, while qui gon continued to serve the living force to his death, like a true jedi. Palpatine took advantage of this by making *himself* the republic, and once the jedi served his whims, destroyed them from the inside out like a disease. The good, light side of the force renews and replenishes life, while the evil dark side consumes it lustfully and destroys life, giving only temporary power in return.

If you look closely, Vader’s eyes turn back from yellow to blue showing that he truly has returned to good (it also matches the colour of the Jedi lightsaber), but his eyes are the same colour as Luke’s indicating that Luke inherited them from Vader. It’s truly interesting how such a small detail has so much significance
@oludotunjohnshowemimo4346 ай бұрын
Anakin finally let go of the hatred and anger that poisoned him for over 20 years and stopped using the dark side, hence why his eyes turned back to its natural colour from Sith yellow.
