I have such a faint memory of my snow speeder working as far as the electronics go . loved hearing the blaster sounds again . The snow speeder was a christmas gift from my grandmother at that time . I received the slave one , a star wars play doh activity set 9 which I barely remember as well , and a super awesome matchbox parking garage that had an neat elevator that you could crank up you cars to various levels using some sort of wind up ball chain mechanism .Sounds like a job for ebay . I should be posting some videos of my vintage toys soon when I get my new camera .

Amazing work! They don't add electronics to toys like that anymore. Hasbro does not like making toy ships that do that. Instead they just have a rinky dink projectile launcher that barely goes beyond 1 foot. I miss Kenner.

i drill the pegs out of the rear grill then find a plastic dowel and glue them in to the bottom part of the ship then glue it together makes a good tight fit great videos this is a great ship to restore as a beginner

nice job "EMA Plastic Weld" is a good product for plastic repairs it melts and fuses the broken plastic

I use Loctite here in Australia...we have a gel version of it too...great stuff made in Ireland from memory?

if you remember the original AT-AT had little pegs on the legs that fit figures foot peg holes..( maybe to act as though they were climbing the walker?? ) well one day I was standing in my doorway and threw a figure at it and it stuck right on one of those pegs...I was a good 10 feet away. no way I would ever be able to do that again.

I was wondering if the side cannons of the vintage Snowspeeder are compatible with the POTF2 Snowspeeder, because I have it almost complete, except for the cannons, but you know, I need more advice first.

For posts like that, do you ever consider replacing them entirely with brass rod? I do a lot of miniatures and props, and I feel like drilling a hole into the fuselage and placing a properly sized brass rod would be as tough as the original plastic posts... if not stronger.

I have a potf snowspeeder that doesn't have working electronics. Is it the same as the vintage to repair since it has two sound effects???

you could probably go nuts with upgrades depending on how good you are at modifications. why would you want to upgrade the motor, though? if you're into the action features, then the 90's snowspeeder might be more for you. :)

Shannon Helton well, if you're wondering if you could remove the electronics from an upgraded toy, yes, you sure you could take the 90's hasbro snowspeeder electronics and put them in a vintage kenner snowspeeder and figure out how to incorporate the additional button. if you want a better sound, you could get a sound chip and even program it yourself. as for the lights, sure, you could get brighter ones. anyone with a soldering iron should be able to swap out an LED and re-do the circuit to allow for different amperage components. even then, it's pretty basic circuitry, eh? what effect does 'upgrading' have in your vision?

Loctite is the best. Still doesn't work good for heavy metals though.
