The Best Finnish film ever made! I am a fan. When they start make this film they were students. They made this film 6-7 years, a little bit and bit again. Main act is filmed one guys livingroom.

This movie is brilliant. The translation (English for me) is brilliant. Being a fan of the scifi series being spoofed, I have not been so entertained for a long long time. I hope you make more.

This is the only Star Trek movie I saw as a kid, I always thought the battle scenes were cool but something seemed off about the movie. Finding out that the film was a parody explains a lot, especially the fact that the actor did indeed speak Finnish and it wasn't just dubbed hahaha.
@KiskeyaLife10 жыл бұрын
Almost ten years on, this film is of equal quality of most sci-fi films out there, and even superior to the film/shows it parodies. And all made on home-computers. You know talent when you see it!

For a fan-made movie, I really love this! The graphics are 100 times better than what Syfy's "original" movies have and even a better story. Hell, even better than some movies put into theaters!

1:35:50 They can't be in the past. P-fleets space station is still floting in the orbit. That must mean that humanity has been destroyed while they were fighting in the other universe. Makes the ending quite grimm.

Honorharringtonfan now that In the Pirkinning is back Star Wrecks all here. Check out this playlist for all the old short films: kzbin.info/aero/PLCBA2610726132EBE It's very unlikely Iron Sky will be on youtube since most of the budget came from selling distribution rights - which is how most non-studio films are funded. That means a lot of different companies get to decide on how the film will be distributed in their areas.
@Sean1224811 жыл бұрын
Well no harm in asking. Btw what influenced the scene for the gotterdermung coming up from the crust of the moon? How did that get into the script.
@emperorpirk11 жыл бұрын
Honorharringtonfan we knew Götterdammerung had to be epicly huge... and we needed a good excuse why it wouldn't have shown up in images - so it had to be built underground. And that makes for a cool looking scene as well.

Added Arabic and Russian subtitles. The number of people speaking these languages is somewhere around 4 billion. Some 5 million viewers have seen this, so there's only 3.95 billion to go... If your language is not listed here Jengelh has a very good site listing all the translations. You can find it trough our site.

Star Trek meets Babylon 5 in a Finnish universe. From IMDB: "The CGI were rendered using standard home computers. In some scenes a single frame could take over ten hours to render and in one second of footage there are 25 frames. Overall, the CGI seen in the movie took five years to render." Many productions made by B movie companies today, 17 years later, dont reach this level of CGI.

At 1:10:30 Info's report about casualties at the moment (62.2% of ships lost) is impressively close to his earlier estimate given at 59:15 (68.4% casualties). Of course, by the end of the film, the situation is a bit different.
