The shortest route-for the Eastern TriStar- Toronto to Buffalo. Difficult to believe but true. I remember as a young man going down to Fort Lauderdale on an Eastern 727 WisperJet. KFLL Was a Heaven for TriStars, mostly Delta Airlines and a few from Eastern.

I traveled to JFK from SFO in the early 80s on their very short lived route. First time on the Whisperliner L1011. Fantastic experience.

Remember in the late 70s going from EWR to MIA on 1011s. Huge plane was so sparsely populated and yet still eating steak and cheesecake in coach. Big seats legroom. You didnt have to make the other person get up if you were by window and needed to.

I always prefered the adjustable passenger air vents on the L1011 compared to the lack of such vents on the DC10.

Yea American flew DC10 between Detroit and Buffalo in early 1970s
