Progression doesn’t seem bad; I just started a modded play through and it feels good. There’s a few you need to get first but once you start farming you’ll get some decent exp just building, especially if you’re doing BYOS and doing it early on.

ill never get why companies dont just outright hire modders like this. FU made this game 1000x better. I kniw if i were a game developer id be seeking out the best modders for my team.

Quickbar mod mostly does, what it's name tells. It is adding a special button to your right side of the screen (looking like three horizontal lines) and when you click it, it will show a list of another icons to click them and more quickly access to some of the base game functionality. Many mods are using it to make quick access to their features (FU is definitely one of them). Really good QoL mod. First it started to be the part of StarLib mod library (it's mostly need to be installed for a few mods and if you didn't have them installed, you didn't need it). And later, it got released as standalone Quickbar mod just with this feature only.

I thought stardust (starling?) mod was a replacement for the quick bar mod? That’s what it says in steam works

@@dcsphinx2851 Well maybe it was valid year ago, but many things now changed in modded scene. Quickbar (old and new) is and was part of Stardust core, but it also has and have it's standalone version. And most people prefer just have standalone, because not much people needs entire core mod.

So i'm almost done with this episode and theres one thing he has not covered and its important to having an easier progression with this mod. if you have the tri corder in your hand right clicking with it opens a menu that has a bunch of different quest tabs that are meant to give you an idea of how to progress through FU they also give rewards and the rewards can be very usefull. One of the basic ones gives you like 20 glass and thats important both for research and also so you can make one of FU's other crafting station. The tinker table. I urge you to get this asap and to unlock the research till you can craft the mining lasers and ore detectors. You can duel wield the mining lasers and they are way faster than the matter manipulator and the ore detector does what it says. You click with it and it pings the ores around you in a decent raidus. I rarely use the Matter manipulator and mostly i upgraded it only for picking up liquids. Its good for detail work that the mining lasers are not suited for.

There is actually a mod that let you craft that Protector Robes and wear it. And it's part of Dr. Skittles's protectorate outfits mod. This modder not only has many useful mod templates/resources (if someone is wanting to kick start their idea of creation of many kinds of mods, related to threme of template/resource), but also nice cosmetic outfit packs.

when i first discovered the new research system i was really confused (and still kinda am) but overall happy cause it slows the game down so you cant just get lucking finding a end game ore worm on a acid planet and skipping to endgame gear

It is really nice to have a reasonable progression map in game, I feel. And while I definitely still, and probably always will, have trouble finding the upgrades I'm looking for, I think that the research tree is very accessible and well organized. Now to figure out what I'm going to do with everything that I can build now!

Hey, enjoying the video and series. Just started playing Starbound and then found FU so I started over haha. To the people saying you talk to much or whatever, it's the reason I'm watching you. In games like this with heavy crafting and building I love hear the stream of thought vocalized and knowing why you are doing something etc. Keep it up

The RPG mod is pretty fun and works with FU as far as I've seen... Not sure if you can add it to a pre-existing character so maybe if you wanna do another season some day.

should have used the mods foods stack and bk3ks inventory extender (this is the fu server collection (watch out tho some require new character or universe) steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1101449362 stardustlib is what has the quickbar in it like nerd0CHija mentioned or the standalone here steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1088459034).. but hey i noticed you washed your hands this time (or tried to at least). should have gone with elduukhar they get a flight/feather fall from the start of the game... also should have ctrl'd your view over at the end of the tutorial

I threw the food stack mod in there, but you're right, it looks like bk3ks inventory extender requires a new character. I wish I would have written it down, because I think that you recommended it before. Oh well! Thanks for clearing up the quickbar, I'll probably throw that on as well!
