Congrats on the clear! I know people are gonna say things that might dampen the occasion, I hope you won't let it get to you. You learned fast, understood the mechanics, and adapted on the fly. Huge props!

Congrats! Going at good pace! Despite using hector's as you progress, gotta give all the kudos to you guys, first time properly doing savage, the pace of the fights and mechs involved is still a big jump for someone new to raiding and you've been dealing with it wonderfully. Amazing in game and irl glams.

Congrats on the clear! It hurts my heart a little to see the fight go down with the boss having so many buff stacks, but I wouldn't wish those heartbreak failed enrages on anyone.

I wanna mention some stuff NA pf does slightly differently from Hectors video. For Beat 2, youll often see “0 S (south) 1 N (north)” where rather than having 1s at center. Minor difference but lets the 0 heart stacks make tighter circles and not worry about clipping 1 heart players who will simply be rotating as well to avoid the stacks. For Beat 3 you will often see “Clock defamations” where instead of the set spots hector had when your debuff expires, everyone just goes out to standard clock spots (same ones used in Rotten heart). Its a minor difference but less memorization for pf (these clock spots are standard for a reason). Speaking of rotten heart, pf will often say “RH 8/7/6s” instead of hectors 5 seconds. This is bc of ping and/or reaction times in pf is shaky and if you pop the debuffs too late, the resulting magic vuln wont wear off before Honey Bees raidwide which will likely kill you. So a normal pf description might say “hector | mk | 0S 1N | clock defam | 8s RH”. Or “the normal stuff” in which case ask and it’ll likely be these same adjustments.

I legit hope I do! I want something to crush me! But hopefully in a fun way.

@ if you get involved with the next tier when it releases, it's much more likely to crush you I think, and you'll get the full on experience of learning savage along with everybody else in the party. I totally got why Kyle was asking for the other healer to suck more - when you first go into a new tier, EVERYTHING hits like a mack truck and nobody knows what the hell is going on. From personal experience, the healing challenge is real and you often feel like you'll never be able to keep up, but that's part of the magic of savage - you all learn to optimise rotations, learn who needs to pop what mit where, and it gets easier as you gear, too. You get to the point where you know where you are in the fight by what skills you just popped, or can time them by boss lines. I love it. It's fantastic fun but definitely takes a little bit longer than this run has done (no shade though, savage requires for the most part that everybody has their shit together!!).

Seeing how much struggle center/outerstage combo brings, here is the suggestion for easier callouts: you assume your group is competent enough to see a big pink X in the middle, to orient themselves correctly, and do the callout as such: for centerstage it's IN - OUT - SIDE, meaning you start IN close to X, then move OUT away from the boss in the straight line, and lastly move to the SIDE to dodge last part for outerstage same principle, but it's OUT - SIDE - IN hope that helps on reclears o7

My static called in similarly. We always just said "numbers" as the second one, because you're ALWAYS standing on the numbers for the second hit. In-Numbers-Out or Out-Numbers-In.

Also here are couple more things that can make life easier mixed in with fun facts for beat 1: Stack appears on a person with least hearts, so if there is someone who has, let's say 0 stacks, they will receive a stack marker, so others can start moving early towards that person if they need to be part of it Stack marker prioritizes to give 1 heart to every person in the stack, and then if there are more hearts to be given, it tries to prioritize "safe" hearts. so even if, for example, you end up with a stack of 2-2-1 hearts, it will still resolve properly mechanically, when soaking towers, prioritize players who have least amount of hearts. so let's say there are 2 ppl next to a tower, one has 2 hearts, other has 0, the tower should go to 0 hearts person when you are more or less comfortable with mech, here are some pointers to keep in mind to score some "nice guy" points: melee towers should preferably go to melee, so they can keep uptime casters should be prioritized to get 3 hearts, so they don't have to participate in stack(cause they would have to cast while moving and dodging, compared to melees, who are doing same thing they would usually do). next in line for prio would be healers for the same reason IF you want to be extra nice to your BLM, you should prioritize him to get 3 hearts, cause that way he can chill on his Ley Lines(it is 2 minute burst during stack after all). IF you see that your BLM didn't get 3 hearts and will have to participate in stack, be nice, and move to him, so the stack is on his Ley Lines, or at least close to them
@reilie911518 күн бұрын
The letter markers are also max melee for out and numbers are always safe for the big plus aoe so he could also call in-numbers-letters for center stage or letters-numbers-in for outerstage

5:05:00 For the part during Rotten Heart where Kyle wasn't in his clock spot, yes, Ric adjusted a bit, but also both Kyle and Ric happened to get Alpha and wouldn't explode when touching each other anyway. If they had had different debuffs from each other, they likely would have exploded before Ric realized and adjusted and it would have been a wipe. Very lucky that it didn't happen that way, but not something you can reliably adjust around like he tried to.

"Blind" means you only check a guide AFTER you CLEARED, if at all. What you are doing is regular "practice, watch a guide". Everyone goes mechanic by mechanic, there is no skipping stuff. Blind means you work exclusively with what you got in your instance. Castbars, BattleLog, Partymembers.

That’s why they put “blind” in inverted commas, because it’s not, really. They know.
