These 2 games are the perfect example of why these tournaments are so great - as you say, at the top top level the games are almost so clean it can be boring (of course I still love ANY starcraft gameplay), but I was at the edge of my seat both matches this time. Did not at ALL expect that ending! BIGGGGGGG

soso's build made my childhood dreams come true. Was unsurprisingly terrible at SC as a kid because I refused to build anything but mech... feels vindicating to see a 1-base mech win so easily at this level of play. Mirror match made me chuckle though, just barely edged out that win. Good stuff, keep it up!

Jaedong's ZvZ was 80% Those comments about zerg aces are weird in that context He is the only reason Oz got 2nd place in proleague. Literally he was taking on the entire SKT empire which had aces of all three races by himself.

*SPOILER* As fun as that build from the first game was, I feel like it's more of a blunder from the Zerg than a good build from the Terran. You scout no nat and mass Goliath, and still massing drones and no sunkens? If he had just defended that push with a few sunkens the game is over and he would have won

ZVZ is usually just "tolerable" for me like I don't mind it, but a few in a row and I fall asleep but WOW what a ZVZ. I don't think we've ever seen a high-profile game where a Z loses their spawning pool without doing ANY eco damage to the opponent and still wins.

Interesting games. 1. Goliaths is interesting unit. It's nowhere strong in dps as bunch marines and it's not tanky. But damn, it has those very narrow spots in game where they can pull strange sh1t that marines might not have able to pull off otherwise. 2. Well, damn, that zerg match was amazing! I don't understand people who don't like watching zerg mirror, RTS rush and micro at it's finest.

zerg is the most difficult race in the game. The fact that it's the only one to lose workers in order to build structures makes it really weak in the early game.

Yes and no. They can also build multiple drones at the same time. And their buildings are cheaper, to "discount" the drone investment.

@@quaco24 The problem is that you spend too many resources on a one trick pony defense like that and then you just get blown out by like tanks sieging. Hindsight is 20/20, you can't defend a build you have no clue what it is doing because you don't know where they are going with it.
