Lowko, I just want to say thanks for your uploads! I played SC1 a lot, but never enough to be very good. I bought SC2 Wings of Liberty when it came out. I got to the point where I was hovering around gold - platinum, but still far from being 'good'. About 3 months ago I reinstalled SC2 and noticed that the players are WAAAY better then they used to be. I could hardly win any games. So I started watching your videos during work and keeping mental notes on things like build orders and at what time things should start being produced. Anyways, today I hit Gold league! I know that's not a huge accomplishment for most of you, but I only get to play about 3-4 games a week!

Lowko, the Barracks is where the Terran units live, and train. The Supply Depot is basucally a warehouse where they keep things like the food the units in the Barracks eat.

As a Platinum 1 Terran, 3 rax opener is my go to choice, it works really well and even if it's defended, you have resources to build third base, take all the remaining gases in the main and natural, build factory, starport, 2 more rax, get medivacs and you can go for second wave that's even deadlier, depending on the damage you did with the first one. The only difference is I go for marine marauder mix straightaway with +1, stim and concussive shells, marauders with concussive shells help a lot against non blink stalkers.

3Racks opening is really strong and trade well against pretty much anything that Protoss does, the only possible weakness is quick DT if you dont have a quick EBay for Turret and has to rely on scan.

A rose bush has limited resources. Any flower that attempts to grow must take some of those resources from all of the other flowers that might grow. @@Kiido11 I can't say that I KNOW it is roses, specifically, that this saying comes from. Trees, vines and bushes all have the same constraints so people that tend them would need to be just as conscious of wasted energy. It may even be more important for fruit bearing plants.

@@Zim-ks6pb Liberator is not good on itself. It is to be used in numbers alongside a ground army and Vikings. A ground army with mass Liberator cover is potent. Use Liberators for area denial and protection against spam of melee or close range ground units. Go try and see.

Protoss just throwing away units 24/7 Zealots and free archons for days

It is easy to buff Reapers from being one of the worst units in a game. Just give him its old anti-building ability. Make it mid to late game upgrade and that is it. Unit is again good and useful.

Reaper and banshee feel like units that are only built one time during the whole game. To my knowledge no other units are like that. Across the races all units can fit in some kind of build that propagates through the whole game but not those two units. I dont know if that is a flaw of the terran race or not.

adepts are kinda like that, except unlike a reaper or banshee you need multiple of them to be useful so you see them in small groups early game and then never again zerg's version of an early game harass/scout unit also happens to be their main fodder, so that sticks around forever i guess

@@rice9224 yah zerg seems to be the most well rounded in terms of builds and unit usage. Every unit even swarmhosts has builds that include it. Wish they could fix adpets reapers and banshees.

@@aziouss2863 i don't think they need to be "fixed" for lategame. i personally don't think that all units need to be viable at all times of the game. there are units that are only viable (or accessible) late game, so it seems natural enough that there are units primarily designed for early game as well.

Yeah wont happen, i dont think we will see any changes on SC2 from now on. Reaper are kind of ok against zerg banes and lings, but the grenades arent quick enough to be reliable. Other than that reapers suck. But lets be honest, cyclones suck as well. Way to expensive with so little hit points. Banshees are also just for early harassement, and suck otherwise. Raven is also not that great. Libs are to slow. Hellbats just against early zerg. So you have M&M&M, Tanks, Mines, Vikings, Thors and Ghosts. A BC sometimes and thats it. Terran really should have gotten some changes, there is barely 2 options for terran (bio and mech), you can forget about the mech thing against toss. It really is a shame. Would be way more interesting if there are more options, like zerg and toss have.

not just high ground, but also theres probably a ramp type that limit your army movement, and also the opponent has set up a very good defensive concave.
