Byun doing Byun stuff lol. I feel like a lot of builds can be labeled as “don’t try this unless your GM” but Byun’s builds are just “don’t try this unless you’re Byun” lol. It just seems like the amount of practice to make reapers even sort of viable, even for someone like Maru would be better spent on literally anything else in the game lol.

2 things: mules and widow mines. Micro is sick but byun got strategically outplayed, yet the micro and eco is what wins sc2 games, byun has the first and terran race has the second. Extraordinary play nevertheless.

Oh, my. Lowko is absolutely right when he ended today’s cast. I’m sure that we are all smiling throughout this game. SC2 is going to see the Micro-Wars. Protoss isn’t on the APM pedestal anymore because we see even Tier 1 units being used in such a fantastic way. Awesome content and caster.

I honestly think he's abusing the zeros lack of anti air for the medivacs and of course the fact that he can outrun the backline of the zerg and therefore focus solely on the marine counter aka banelings. Notice how he doesn't run in a turn but most of the time in a straight line away from the roaches, kiting the banes while really only having to focus on said banes because nothing else can reach them. Some medivacs fall sure, but the lack of marauders who are slower makes it so few marines die to the splash aswell and its absolutely brilliant play.

1:24 actually lowko I haven't quite confirmed this but I'm pretty sure that the SCV pops out the same side of the building that it started on, so basically if you started building a supply depot on the top left corner of the building, then the SCV will finish building it from that angle

Fantastic couple of games. I feel like burrowed banes might've saved Solar in a few of these fights. ByuN kept the creep back with the constant harassment, so he never needed to scan, allowing him to sink all that energy into mules and keep the production up without needing to spend time macro'ing too hard. Four or five banes popping off under that marine army would've done a ton of work and forced ByuN to be more cautious.

Would roach ravager be the new way to go if you're going against a player with target firing like byun? because it's really the only army composition that can beat terran bio without splash damage, just try to out macro and out position your opponent, because its not as fast as ling bane, you'd have to get very good at predicting opponents army movements and get very good at multitasking to.

I imagine 2 barracks sustained reaper production at home is safer and allows for easier transitions into expansions or factory/starport while still maintaining constant reaper production. Seemed like sending 3 scv is pretty much an all in and he didn't have enough resources to not keep them idle

I have been watching SC2 pro games for 2 years. I have never seen ByuN play before. I already know the top players in their particular races and its very weird to see someone like ByuN being like between the top 5 terran players for such a short amount of time. His playstyle is incredible.

Byun was in the mandatory military service of South Korea for the last 2 years. He won the World Championship Series back in 2017, if im correct. And by that, he was the best SC2 player at that point of time. Also, he was soloing that series, which made him the first person in all of Starcraft 1, SC Broodwar and SC2 to win the highest championship without being in a team. He wiped all players out without team support. :)

Well that was quite soul crashing as a zerg. It is so frustrating to fully upgrade banelings just for terran to stutterstep and blow them up with tanks. It feels like the marine is OP if you have really good micro, out of all 3 basic units.

A group of marines walk into a bar, to find the barman just chilling in an empty room. They ask the barman where the counter is? He stares them down; "there IS no counter". You could get to GM off of just marine, tank and medvac I'm pretty sure. Hydras need buffs to make them usable earlier, and faster movement speed.
