I'm hoping this means that we might get an actual Random player at the pro level within the next year or two. It would be interesting to see how the RvX early-game metagames develop given that the Random player always starts out ahead (due to having the advantage of knowing the opponent's race) or if it's just going to become a cheese party to exploit the non-Random player's scouting disadvantage.

It makes sense that Zerg is rough, when a team's bases are right on top of the teammates bases. So it makes sense that Pro Zerg would play off race on those maps, but bring the A-game when the map allows it.

Great video, very refreshing! It seems that producing more units at the start is better than teching up, because the horde is twice as big and they can focus one enemy and overwelm. Interesting to see how the strategy changes in other games.

Love these 2v2s, thank you for casting them! I think it will be really sickl if Byun started making medivacs to heal Dark's units, for example in the final game if Dark had some medivacs healing his roaches, his attack would have been even deadlier XD Q: can medivacs heal zerg sky units?

Zergs sucks in 2v2 cuz your creep affects your ally (unless both are zerg) but in that case you'll be missing synergies from races :)

Makes sense about 2v2. You have to split your brain power in which your muscle memory is in 1v1 and does not include talking to someone and taking into account what they would do.

I always found it kinda weird that 2v2 never caught on back in Broodwar, unlike 1v1 most games of 2v2 were fairly insane since they almost always played out as rushing 1 player and the entire game hinges on how well they can hang on, as a result nearly every 2v2 game that isn't just a complete stomp was a nailbiter with action usually starting clear back at a 4-6pool or equivalent. between that and just how much communication and cordination between teammates mattered it usually made for a great show...also had some surprising results since skill as a team was so important you'd get stuff like some random duo who are individually ladder nobodies consistently winning against temporary teams of world class players like Light or Flash or Boxxor. my best (and frankly only) real guess is the fact that it was a LOT easier to look like an idiot when trying to cast a 2v2

The skill in 2v2 ladder is weird, because it coincides with 1v1 pretty closely until about diamond 1, then almost everyone you play is high master or grandmaster.

For the most part tournaments usually only allow you to signup with one race, although there have been instances like in MLG where people are aloud to be a "switch hitter" player and play different races based on what the opponent was playing. This is very hard to do though so it’s understandable why it doesn’t happen all the time. Scarlet and Reynor are doing it lately though

So double protoss co-op battles on teh same side, should play all pylons like creep, and expand with shield batteries... the double synergy and immense abiltiy to warp in anywhere is quite great.... do slow warp ins outside of vision, lol
