I was there in Atlanta and you could see very clearly that serral became frustrated with bunny’s non stop aggression and we even saw it in his face but when he lost he walked straight to him and wished him luck. Good guy

i think reason lowko is such a good caster is because he enjoys talking with himself and feels very comfortable talking about whatever; spicing up thec comentary a bit after all, he genuinely has a lot of fun and expresses genuine excitement, ouch and interest when things happen, whether they be a big push, a big bane runby or when a player does something out of the ordinary or out of the "standard"

Still, it seems that some tank in game four would have been better... maybe? It's kind of dumb of me to say that since widow mines worked so well. But man, these juicy tanks position on that map, so tempting! Also, mastering several play style and having the option in your portfolio sounds like a must for tournaments and all... I guess he just works the mines so much better than anyone else, that it makes no sense for him.

Serral vs clem? Oh man. This is like the absolute best sc2. In some ways i prefer clem/serral over serral/maru. The constant pressure from clem's bio is the stuff of legends and seeing serral either holding out or crumble is always exciting

Lots of Zerg playing like Serral against Clem, trying to hold out as long as they can while teching up to higher tier units. Reynor and Solar play a very similar way for the most part. Its Dark who play something entirely different and really make Clem sweat, he just ignore Clem main army and go all-in for the harrassment or even base trade.

34:35 for practice the bot coding would ´be amazing, you can tell it exactly how good to be, what to do, what tactic to use etc. so you can prepare counters for that exact thing. practice is more like 1-5 min of a specific thing 200 times until more optimized then same with the next "technic" to train

i got amazing multitasking skills as well. i can select multiple groups of units from across the map, and order them to move to one location, attacking if they encounter the enemy. and i only use 2 keys! f2, then a.

Your commentary on the time of day the game is played at brings me back to a question that I had during DreamHack Atlanta: when the pros go to in-person tournaments overseas, how much of an impact does jet lag have on their play (or is their schedule just already so weird that it doesn't significantly affect them)? Do they tend to show up the day before or do they give themselves an adjustment period?

I find it baffling how everyone, even zerg players like Lowko (love u btw) ALWAYS mention zerg's "inflated" APM because of pressing 1 and holding Z. But 1 action is 50 minerals... why does noone EVER seems to mention that as Terran you press 4 and hold A, you're also getting 1 action per 50 minerals when filling the queue, making it nearly the same APM in the end?

20:32 damn i love how clem plays here, how often do you get to see ghost use cloak effectively against zerglings :D that's so cool to see. and honestly I would love if that was more their special talent instead of literally killing anything bio etc -.- make snipe an upgrade which replace auto attack doesn't ghost energy and lower dmg, but snipe range shooting delay etc., and balanced lowered dmg on each hit. like this it could easily be balanced so that having 20 ghost couldn't mean boom gone is 150 zerg t3 army supply... which is so dumb, and while they would still be really good bc balance, at their targets and maybe against everything as now, but their insane instant burst against everything would be more fair and they now don't need energy for it, so more cloak :D ^^

35:43 yer bc clem forgot about his static, when he won he had 3+ turrets and planetary on outline base, now he had orbital and 0 turrets. just 3 turrets would have done mean dmg to mutas or given time for reinforcement, having it on each base would have wracked those mutas as they would fly over 3+ turrest 4 times in a row+´support fire. 2 turrest are 3 marines, not like you can't afford not ^getting one more medivac marines for harass for 2 bases defense ^^

I guess the map is called inside and out cause of the terrain. Inside und got lava looking inside the Planets surface. Outside you got a winter looks like surface. So inside hot, outside cold: inside & out.

33:34 would be kinda cool with a borrow zergling to place down a worm for a good ambush, as example if it was ready and they z attacked from behind here there would be naked marines ready for slaughter ^^ look at how much work clems static is putting in :D z static is really bad vs T but worms for ambushes, borrow for banebombs, just bc it forces scans on every good spot (1 bane is cheaper than a scan, and even 1 does significant dmg which at worst drains a lot of medivac energy, making them much weaker for later engagements and draining scans or forcing ravens to go everywhere etc ^^ with ambush worms getting bane out on annoying spots is also easy :D every "WRAAAH" sound mean you need to scan every ramp that could now be baneling or zergling ambush infested :P also at later game it can bring drones safely to outlining dangerous bases and more importantly safe them when those bases eventually get overrun and killed as such do ^^

33:46 also on a map this big being able to move forces from top to bottom within seconds instead of tens of seconds could be very valuable; more so that you can split up your forces easily no matter what choke point T occupy you will attack from all the best angles bc your ground reinforcements are mapped into the worms ready to exist where-ever you need extra ^^ seriously in late game Z it wouldn't be too much to have like 6 worms at once, the reinforcement would be insanely quick, it would be near impossible to stop them going up, retreat is fast and easy; and you can use them as "blockades or tanking" in a pinch (your army fights and its extremely close, suddenly 6 worms start building on top of the enemy army, making a moves and studderstepping much worse and overkill dmg if focused. it could be the game changer and resource wise it's like a smaller zealot runby. it could be enormously strong and would allow queens to come and heal and then go back; with 6 worms even if the enemy wants to focus the worms its hard to do that much dmg while being attacked and 6 new worms could start immediately; its dirt cheap, even the HP buffer they provide can be worth it in some cases ^^

18:20 well at that point 3,3 would be what? 1k resources so basically 20 marines worth of army, but better bc gas; so would clem survive if you removed 20supply of army? think thats why, he properly haven't been confident in fighting 20 supply down compared to what he has been doing since 2,2 finished. but yes weird its not done yet :P

APM inflation is nearly a myth. Prove by math: even if the zerg would make 1000 lings in 10 minutes, the apm would increase by 500/10 minutes = 50apm. Also making terran and toss units cost apm. If there is a higher apm, than just if you build lots of small units, but not because of the hold button..apm might shot up for a sec, but then it goes faster down too... So no. No significant inflation. Maybe 10-20 apm due to the fact that zerg makes more small units, but not based on mechanics. Asume you only make ultras, apm would be even lower

PS: if you want to see the difference: at the end of the game, check the amount of built units. The difference your divide by the playtime and you see the impact of zerg having more smaller units. The way of building doesn't do any difference

seriously with so many years of sc2 i would have loved to see the competitive version where as much of the tech, upgrade etc. from the campaign - except everything hero based; I don't like heroes and how they change everything to be about them sigh. i just want to see P have shield heal sentries, long range sentries; etc. actually stevkovs, zombie horde, kinda gameplay; it has a deep theme (sadly it does creep better then z ever could dream about; who need tumors, tumors are a weak link; and good way to produce and use free units, perfect for zerglings etc.) I want to see the best of all that stuff combined with the 3 races so it feels, looks and plays awesome, and very new and different; that could also be a good time to revisit what your apm mid and late game should go to, like auto produce marines when one is finished, creep continue spreading much further for each tumor making it harder to find and deal with and requiring more to effectively remove all creep. maybe we could get even higher lvls off play if 80% of a pro players skills shouldn't be in basic management task like restarting a marine every time one is done etc.
