I've been playing a lot of Direct Strike in the StarCraft 2 Arcade, choosing random in the Commanders 3v3 mode in particular. Developed by community creator Tya, Direct Strike is the next evolution of the popular “Desert Strike HotS” Arcade experience, which pits players against each other in a fierce tug-of-war. Choose your units and formations carefully to counter your opponent, then send them off into battle!

I'm not an expert of Direct Strike and sometimes strategies that I talk about and/or implement may be outright wrong. Feel free to give me tips. While the tactical gameplay is greatly simplified, there is a surprising amount of *strategic* depth to this map and there is a ton of replayability considering how many commanders there are to use.

Don't underestimate upgrades. Even if its only a little bit more, multiplied by 30 units is a big difference

I agree and it's about making a decision around when it's more cost efficient to add another unit or get the +1/2/3 upgrades. Doing it too early is not worth it IMO, but you've gotta decide where that tipping point is.

Try zooming out? In comparison to Incursus the game seems more confusing with the amount of zoom you use.. YOu might get a better birds eye view of the entire battlefield

Use your commander ability, in this case it was blackhole I think you only used it once?

The longest game I personally had in Direct strike was over an hour long. It was a giant stalemate. Then one of my teammates left and suddenly my Creeper hosts started stacking on one another and my Raynor Teammate got two Hyperions out. ^_^

YES Finally Direct Strike, I may or may not love the Heroic Commander a little bit too much or Weekly Brawls in which you get extra income

You should zoom out when playing. Your POV is way to close to the ground. Otherwise, great video!

It's the game engine, it only uses one CPU core. At a certain number of units and animations, every PC will drop a bunch of frames.
