The roach nuke was actually quite genius for another reason. The zerg didnt have the high ground vision to see the red dot and when he walked into it, the dot disappeared as they do about a second before the nuke actually lands.

@@LowkoTV Whether he could see it from the bottom of the ramp or not the fact is I doubt his mind was on it because the nuke was set before he even got vision of the ramp as far as I could tell so he wouldn't have had any reason to know what was going on outside of hearing that it existed somewhere. That was some really quick thinking by uthernal along with some good timing, lucky or otherwise.

The whole series is a banger, if you have never check out Uthermal, his content is awesome. He has a few challenges in his play list all set up for you to find easily on his channel. I just finished up his penguin brothers series, and I recommend it also. That series he can only make units that waddle like penguins, Thors, Vikings, Hellbats, and the occasional Maurador. Check it out, you'll be pleased with all his content.

If you've ever wondered what goes through a pro gamer's head while playing, watch his channel. The guy's instinct and 6th sense for what his opponent is doing are incredible.

In the view of Elijah, you could see him stop the roaches at the botton of the ramp as long as the red dot was there and only going up when the red dot was gone. But still the nuke came down :o)

Really glad to see more uThermal coverage, he absolutely deserves it. I basically never payed attention to 1v1 or ladder for SC2 before him, save a few glances here and there. Thermal gives me the same feeling I have from GiantGrantGames, I'm probably just into experts in their field doing awesome challenge runs.

Definitely recommend uthermals channel, hilarious challenges he's very dedicated about. The roach nuke from his pov is amazing. As for best unit I'd agree with ghost or queen. I think anything that isn't a spellcaster is immediately off the list. I think you can make an argument for queens being no 1 for their cost, mineral only.

It's because of the latest Nova skin, big bubbies, a big butt, only 2 sexy novas can fit in a bunker... the real question here is... why Ghosts are so big? They are giants! If we compare them to the marines with their space suits (check the WoL intro) they are very small compared to the ghosts only with a latex suit covering them...

The best unit in SC2 is: The (humble) Worker units. Think about it, you start without Queens, without Ghosts, without High Templars, and you can still win. Could you win if you started without Workers? Didn't think so.

If your opponent started with workers and you started with a ultralisk I think winning would be probable

I think terran could beat an ultralisk like that. If you build a wall of supply depots I think they could outrepair the ultralisk's damage indefinitely (well, until the mineral fields run out anyway but that's more than enough time to win). If necessary you can also do some shenanigans with lifting off the CC too which can definitely win too since the zerg player has no way of tracking where the CC is at all times and eventually the terran player can gather enough resources to do something (albeit very very slowly). Protoss might be able to get 2 photon cannons quickly enough to be able to defend it, but I'm not sure on that one. Zerg probably loses since the spawning pool takes so long to build.

Honestly lowko I think the probe is the best unit in the game Especially in the metal leagues, the panic a probe causes even tho it's just scouting is tremendous. It also just starts warp ins and goes back to work, in addition to having shields. While workers are easily the most important unit, probes are the best of them.

The best unit in all of SC2 is a tie between the SCV, drone, and probe. Without them, no other unit could be produced.

SCV can build anything anywhere without needing any creep or power zone though. Probe can place a building, but has to place a Pylon first (so yeah, he can place and leave, but then he must come back anyway)

Best unit in the entire game: Ghost Yes, I am aware of their weaknesses but when you have a unite can has a 1 in 100 chance of spawning Nova using the Cover Ops Skin. Trumps all other unites. Also, using a Medivac is fair in Ghost Only Games because Medivacs don't really do anything besides transport and heal.

Okay as much as i love terrain i think it is stupid how ghosts are good at everything everytime everywhere. It is honestly a consequence of how Zerg larva works. They can technically bank 2 armies in the late game. Meaning if they lose the first army they can quicky create a counter to what the enemy has. This eventually lead to both terrain and protoss having clear army compositions that work against EVERYTHING the Zerg can throw that is why you end up with units like ghosts and the sky toss BULLSHIT. (obviously, this is a generalization and not how every game goes) I don't see a way out of this design bottleneck without fundamentally changing how Zerg works. If anyone has another theory on why the ghost is how it is now I am open to suggestions.

Yup, that's my exact thought when watching players around my level, 4k~. Every single action they do I just think "what the hell is this guy even doing, why is he floating so much money, just do x, etc etc", then I watch my own replays and realize I'm just "as bad"

Best unit over all? I would say the marine. Only basic unit of all races that can attack ground and air. Cheap, strong in early, and late games. But im just a "watcher" Who only played the campaigns 12 years ago, but kept watching the games😁

Ghost and Queen for sure, queen second cause their mecanics is the counter part of the zerg creep concept, and thus is also a contraint and a specialised/limited tool.

I would say the best unit of the game is the widow mine. It costs the same as a roach ! and can easily pay for itself 10x. Even when it doesn't pay for itself, it often ends up costing a lot of apm to the other player. The pros are good to deal with them but they are devastating to the f2 players like me. Ok Maybe im just salty

queen and ghost are really really top of the top, both can survive a few hits, both have lots of very useful skills, both can attack without energy, both can attack air and ground units, they can both do kind of everything, and the queen is also kinda cheap

Ghost, queen, viper and prism are the best, however only queens and ghosts can be viably massed while vipers have heavy management toll and prism is supportive in nature.

I think the best unit is just the simple marine, it's good for early, and late game, their cheap, and they are just brutes.

the best unit is infestor... stealing enemy units, massive aoe, infested terans in the past and ofc burrowed movement... or the mothership but it comes with only 1 can be made so it doesnt count...
