When I saw this, I had a very strong Deja Vu feeling but when Bly won, it was different. I'm sure I have seen the exact same situation before but in that case, Protos won. Same corner, the same unit composition, a very similar amount of them but those storms hit better and killed all hydras.

So if you have 8 base to 3 base you micro perfectly and you have double their supply the entire game you will be able to come down to the wire in a base race and just barely win by the skin of your teeth. Yay, sky toss is not like OP at alllll

I mean, if you could make only hydras for anti air and win vs skytoss without having more income to slam units into the toss’s throat, that would be balanced. Yes, that makes sense. Afterall, hydras arent a midgame unit, are they?

How is it Zerg is able to easily take all the bases and always has more bases than the toss and max out way faster… maybe it’s balanced around those mechanics? Imagine the toss being able to easily take 8 bases while the Zerg sits on three… Maybe it’s balanced around Zerg being able to remax way faster on high tier units?

@@charldonviljoen476 yeah, there were multiple huge hits where it hurt to watch as he should have been able to kill the disruptors but instead made a call to retreat instead of attack. It's a difficult decision to make but he made the wrong ones way too many times.

Micro was trash for pro level. He took a half dozen massive Disruptor hits by overstaying his welcome. He lost most of his overlords for no reason. Base count doesn't mean that much considering for most of the game the actual worker count was not too dissimilar.

10:32 very impressive indeed there is no way to defend distant expansions from lings because they run 100mph. how can you defend well with static defenses bankrupting yourself, theres one option, another is separating your army incase there is a run-by, in which case its a given and it even says in the tips befoer games while loading that the bigger army ususally wins. gauranteeing you lose if you separate because you will be outnumbered. so what are your options to beating zerg? rush early where youll be met with queens, or hope opponent makes a mistake

Learn a gateway expand build. PvT into Twilight/Blink opener, Charge/Immo/Archon. Same for PvZ except skip Blink. PvP into 🤣 whatever cheese or all-in takes your fancy.

Yeah this felt like Bly was in the driver seat the whole game and still almost lost. Like wtf is going on when a 3 base Protoss can go toe to toe with a 7 base Zerg. I really hope a balance patch will come soon. I don't think Protoss is broken but I think Skytoss should get weaker in exchange for more mobility. I'd say make high templars faster in exchange for less range so using feedback puts them at risk but rewards using them well even by themselves (e.g. Templar drops/harass).

Extra bases don't give you a better economy unless you actually build workers to mine them. Bly never went above about 80 workers to MaxPax's 60, so it was effectively only 4 base zerg to 3 base protoss. Those extra bases just serve as a buffer against mineral depletion, which is what won Bly the match as MaxPax ran out of money while Bly just moved on to mining other bases.

The stupid interceptors are too cheap, plus zerg anti air is wishes the best, to say the least. Even is i am winning against skytoss, it's always feels fucking unfair. Even if you manage to ruin all toss eco, and he sits on one base with 6-7 carriers, it takes 5 minutes to kill him, and you need to be very catious. Lowko cannot of course say "game is imbalanced" but it freaking is. With any semblance of balance Bly were trashng Maxy way before it gets to this ridiculous lategame ending. Tosses just sitting on 3 then 4 bases and doing whole lots of nothing, until they get critical mass of air units. And it's up to zerg to somehow prevent it. Other matcups feels perfectly fine for me. Only ZvP against skytoss feels completely broken

Do storms damage your own interceptors? If so, Carriers + High Templars are not very practical. Especially since interceptors are such low HP swarmy unit, which is exactly what psionic storm is designed to destroy.

High templar are probably one of the single most OP units in the game. Can wipe out masses of units, can rip energy from spell casters, AND still have a basic attack. :\ Them and ghosts just make me cringe. They both do so much.

LOOOL 18:05 uhhh dont worry they will get somthing done the most economic unit in the game even when they arent this upgraded! there was what 23 lings sent there? that is 575 minerals ok so we could see they killed one cannon and most likely 2 and a pylon thats 400min right there. ok fast forward another 30 sec when the next wave on lings are sent they will overwhelm and ocst 1500 minerals of damage easily unfair too fast too much damage
