As someone who used to play Starcraft 1 exactly like that, and am now teaching my 13 year old to play and he does it too, I can confirm. They 100% would have been talking about the super intense long game they played in a tournament.

I'm just proud of TacoEmissary getting the ranged upgrade precisely at the optimal build time of 48:17. 100% he built the fusion core to make BCs and then realized the upgrade existed at that moment.

Yes. It was slow but I am proud that he was learning during that match. Clearly he is very new and it can be overwhelming at first but he definitely did learn and adapt strategies and try new units and upgrades, albeit very slowly.

I learnt a few thing: 1. They are playing a mind game, literally. See who have a mental breakdown first 2. Their SCVs have more action than other units in the whole game. 3. The valkyrie vs CC dance is the most epic move I have seen like… EVER! 4. Scan has suppressing power, those units revealed by scan cannot move. 5. I can’t decide if this 40 mins was wasted or well spent🤔. The “they are more likely to make Carriers than making liberators” got me

The best part of this whole thing is that Lovesonq GG'd after a loss of only part of his army that he thought was essential. He was not trying to drag it out as long as possible. He truly thought he had a chance to win even out to the 49 minute mark.

It's how I always played as a kid. 1 barracks, 1 factory 1 starport. Do not waste resources building a 2nd one. Then just wait 45 mins until you max out and have 1 epic battle at an agreed upon location.

What really gets me the most about this match; is that, despite going on for around 50 minutes and Taco mined most of the map, Taco still didn't have 3/3 for bio *or* mech by the end of it.

I didn’t have to micro the SCV battle - a line of SCVs attacking with a line of repairing SCVs behind them. After that, I was just watching the SCV battle and also whilst Taco was sending more stuff into my siege tanks.

A 30 minute drive in The Netherlands is totally different than a 30 minute drive in Houston. LOL. I've been to the McDonald's in Maastricht, and I believe in Schinnen when I lived in Belgium. It's a much better experience than in the US, for sure. Keep up the great streams!

Doesnt look like gold tbh, but it is not as hard as it seems, if you watched lowko for some time and won campaign on hardest you should be just fine, i was surprised how good i was thanks to just watching these games, getting used to simple keybidings and group selection takes time, but with weaker players you can be fine even with just a mouse.
