That first game holy shit Serral Clem matches are really something else. There's a rythm to it that probably no other match up can replicate. They simply never stop, it's stupidly fast

I feel like Clem should have gone for a raven or two in game 2. Had lots of gas to spare and was basically scanning constantly to deal with lurkers.

If you covered the names I'd have never guessed the first game was serral, cool style, infestors make it easier to tech up I guess as there is no surprise gas spending when you have to make 25 banes to defend pushes just gotta keep those infestors alive and they can be reused.

Honestly the infestors as replacements for banelings is really smart. On paper they ARE better, because instead of costing banelings they just cost energy, plus they can hang in the back while the lings to the work so they're protected, plus they slow the enemy and you almost need to supplement bane ling with infestors for that reason anyway, plus it opens the door wide for rapid 3-3 upgrades. As far as drawbacks they might force out ghosts earlier than you want, but I think the main reason they didn't seem to work (at least vs Clem) is their mobility compared to speed banes. Cool to see Serral's mind clicking over on this.

Blizz did a great job on the feel for zerg being a relentless swarm and terran a wall that will not break. Protoss on the other hand are just space assholes that can go to hell.

Terran had 5 bases with a big eco lead & more army supply. Ghosts had hit the field and Serral had support casters but no Baneling Nest, Lurker Den or Greater Spire.

Ah saw that first game on Pigs channel from Serrals perspective. He was experimenting with that quick infestor build and thought that it had potential 🙂I wonder if in game 2 infestors wouldnt have been the better choice instead of vipers. Vipers are most valuable vs tanks and arent great vs ghosts, while with infestors its the other way round.

Hard to get around / close to the ghost with infestors. 1 Ghost emp neutralizes a whole group of infesters (or just kill them) instantly and no way to replenish the energy fast (like vipers). Would have liked to see 3 or so infestors though for sure - but I think that's why he didn't.

@@MKu64 I can understand the reasoning, though vipers can eat an emp and get sniped too and infestors can try to sneak up and neutralize a whole bioball or do the neural parasit ghost emp trick. I just thought it strange that Serral didnt add a couple of infestors, though i guess, vipers are maybe a bit more of an jack of all trades unit than infestors

it drives me a bit bonkers every time I see zerg winning against terran with such a focus on lurkers and the terran never builds a single raven nor make a little banshee hit squad to force them back with. I understand that Hydras counter banshees pretty hard, but just a few banshees and a raven could keep those lurkers away from the base Clem's trying to take at the bottom there. Serral is literally just putting lurkers there and leaving them unsupported and ignoring them knowing that Clem can't push up on them with the units he's got, but with just 10 supply of a raven and banshees Serral wouldn't be able to just leave them there anymore. He'd need to spend time microing them back and forth or leave antiair units here to cover them. Meaning he has less attention, actions, and/or army supply to devote elsewhere on the map. Even without the banshees, a single Raven could have saved Clem a ton of scans and each scan is a mule you don't get. You don't even have to use it as a spell caster, just use it like an expensive observer...when zerg is depending so heavily on burrowed units I just don't understand why terrans refuse to build Ravens just for the detection.

Je comprends pas le système de pertes... A la 9.43 minutes on vois que Clem a perdu 675 de gaz alors que si je me souviens bien la mine ses 75 de gaz la banshee ses 150 et les 4 maraudeur ses 100 de gaz + le Reaper a 50 sa nous donne 375 de gaz hors il y a 300 de plus quelqu'un peut m explique ???

Why do I feel Zerg is the best race, queens defend really good and zerglings counter nearly everything plus can harass the opponent easily expansions cause they have fast movement, plus not to mention Zerg can easily produce a lot of units at the same time. Like against Zerg you really need to harass them before they have the major advantage. I also thought even though I am not sure if it’s possible but why not have hellbats agaisnt the zerglings with a mix of marines and marauders (agaisnt the queens). It’s just crazy how Zerg can easily defend and harass the opponent with low tier units 😂

Well, you feel wrong then. Just check GSL. 4 Terrans in the semis. When you analyze balance, you should look at the overall picture, not just look at the #1 Player in the world. Of course, Zerg is going to look imba if the best player uses it. Serral's skills far, far surpasses the rest of the top 10. It's good to check the third match in the recent GSL of Byun vs DRG, where 2 base Terran beat 5 base Zerg. You say Zerg production is imba. Just look at that match how mules and just 2 CCs parade push 5 base Zerg.

Why do pro terran players never repair medivacs? Always makes me anxious when i see 10 medivacs and 6 of them are at like 10 health.

because it's either you lose an SCV or your Mvac becomes temporarily useless due to it being parked at home so you either lose money or hit weaker, both scenarios suck it's "paradoxally" cheaper to buy more mvacs in this case of PERMANENT hit'n'runs
