Their real cash cow is hearthstone, a game where they can constantly rip players off because they will pay to win. Unless they can find a way to do that with sc3 its not coming back, and at this point a pay to win format in starcraft would be so outrageous it would never happen. Also it would be extremely difficult because of how hard it is to balance

I think lower APM by older players can also be explained by them having less wasted actions

there is another type of apm that i cant recall the name off that remove's the wasted actions and just counts the useful ones

I completely agree with the comparison you did on your other cast about pro player being too old to have good apm past 25 years old. Musicians do not lose technical skills past 25 years old... On the contrary, they learn how to minimize the effort require too play incredibly fast and complicated segment. No reason why it would be different for pro player! It's not like they have to run 20 km when they play a game. It's a precision game in these cases!

An argument I've been battling for ages now is the one of reaction time. As if reacting 2 frames sooner is going to be the difference maker in a significant portion of games. Unless you're playing a shooter, your limiting factor is mostly how long your hands last

Combat shields do make a lit of dif in absolute numbers - even early on if there is 20 marines this group will get +200 hp

the reason offense tends to be easier than defense is that modern warfare is geared towards offense, and RTS stacks things in favor of offense on top of that making games quick and exciting but skewed heavily towards offense.

Full honesty, I do not play this very high level. I have no area to critique, but if anyone more skilled could tell me, I think I know why Inno was a bit out matched especially early in the the vid. But I feel like looking at his building placement and unit choices, he is playing as if his opponent is Zerg. Like the roaming marines, sure it's good letting him know what's going on but it's not like Protoss is going to be doing a lot of moving around the map. Or the mines, sure they do good damage but like, if Colossus out range them then Protoss doesn't really need to get that close. Also I feel like his depot placement like in his natural is to stop zerglings easily running in. Like in the second game I believe, a bunch of stalkers just shot them from range. Again no place for me to say this is the case, but I'd appreciate if a better player might see what I mean. Edit: Another thing I noticed is the constant random scans ON his forces. As if looking for tumours. Could be getting mules or looking for observers

Game number 1 shows how disgustingly overpowered Protoss currently is: playing double proxy Nexus against what Factory-first opener which should be an "aggressive" opener and... Terran barely holds on his two bases while Protoss roam freely over all the map. Yuk.
