Man at 14:15 Serral manages to find the APM to individually split 2 zerglings and burrow them in separate spots so that a single turret will be less likely to find both. This whole game is so insanely high level.

Great game by Maru! Seral in this game, like in most of his late games just sits like a coward in corner and does nothing. It would be different game is those broodlings would cost minerals / gas and time to build - as it is for Carriers

People consider Starcraft a strategy game, and sitting on the strong, defensible and profitable position is a strategy last i checked. The question is why did Maru let him without doing a thing.

@@polca4love It is 2024, everyone wants is to see action and you are correct in only one - Starcraft is strategy game, not tower defense that Seral plays. Remember the finals when Seral first became WC when almost ended draw? He played TD not strategy - since then nothing changed.

You can say whatever, but ultimately zergs are a bit OP. Top terran players can strugle against a lesser ranked zerg player.

I was just thinking that. Zerg has too much flexibility. Can move static defenses, can rebuild their entire army makeup in seconds, has counter-spells to everything. Which would all be fine if they were easier to kill but I see way too many vipers easily slipping away after pulling in a carrier or tank or thor and too many banelings tanking siege shots to the face to reach their destination and still do what they need to do. Really would like to know what Zerg's real weaknesses are outside of "they are hard to control" which obviously isn't a problem at the top levels.

They seem to be slightly weaker at early to mid game. Problem is that Maru did not do damage on that part of the match. The second half he did quite well, but not enough to nullify Serral advantage.

@@polca4love I'm not saying that you are wrong but Zerg have Queens which is like easy mode for early game. I've also seen them make horrible trades over and over early game but then just remax in an instant (with sometimes a completely different army comp to match the current need) because they usually have an economical advantage. Just seems like Terran and Protoss players have a much smaller tolerance for bad play. If they mess us or take one really bad engagement its a lot harder for them to bounce back. I think the problem with Zerg for me is that they have a much higher ceiling than the other two but are harder to control and since the majority of games I see are people that can max them, it just looks like life on easy mode. I know when I try to play Zerg its waaay too much for me to control efficiently.

Zerg are mostly high risk, high reward; which come with it's share of issues. But at the higher levels those quirks are less noticeable, and Serral is simply too good right now to be affected by the drawbacks of playing zerg.

if you didnt know he was a zerg main, the instant he thinks zerg have been nerfed in the last 5 years instead of buffed in almost every single patch since the game came out since zerg players even at the races peak in hots were the biggest cry babies on every forum. zerg mains in sc2 are like rogue mains in wow, no matter how fucking broken they are they think they keep getting nerfed and need more buffs to be competitive while consistently needing to try harder to lose than to win
