StarCraft 2: UPDATED PATCH - HeroMarine's Unscouted Battlecruisers! (Best-of-5)

ESL Open Cup 156 European finals in StarCraft 2. In this Terran versus Terran between HeroMarine and uThermal I go over the new and updated patch notes in StarCraft 2 for the Terran. They're mostly similar to the previously announced list, but units such as Viking, the Liberator and the Cyclone get some additional changes as well. The Raven rework also got reworked.
Here's the most up-to-date version of the balance changes planned for Terran.
Viking (Fighter Mode)
- Damage point reduced from 0.12 to 0.04
Liberator
-Cost reduced from 150/150 to 150/125
Ghost
- Enhanced Shockwaves upgrade removed
- EMP radius increased from 1.5 to 1.75
- Steady Targeting is canceled if the target moves more than 13.5 range away from the Ghost while casting.
- The cast range remains at 10
- Steady Targeting can now be manually canceled
Banshee
- Hyperflight Rotors research time reduced from 121.4 to 100 seconds
- Hyperflight Rotors cost reduced from 150/150 to 125/125
Cyclone
- Mag-Field Accelerator damage bonus changed from +20 vs armored to +10 vs all
- Lock on will now prioritize Air Units if they have an anti-ground attack
Sensor Tower
- Radar range reduced from 30 to 27
Raven
- Gas cost reduced from 200 to 150
- Build time reduced from 42.9 to 30 seconds
- Corvid Reactor upgrade removed
- Anti-Armor Missile armor reduction reduced from 3 to 2
- Anti-Armor Missile's tint color is now brighter (from 255,100,0 to 255,153,85)
- Auto Turret duration reduced from 10.0 to 7.8 seconds
- Auto Turret health reduced from 150 to 100
- Auto Turret armor reduced from 1 to 0
- Auto Turret is no longer affected by Neosteel Armor

Too bad Hero was able to watch uThermal and Clem matchup, so he was able to prepare. Really wanted to see Hero's initial reactions to uThermal's build order like with Clem.

@@chungisyoung4good That's right. In the first game HeroMarine found his proxy right away and that's how Thermy knew he couldn't use his prepared build orders in the final.

@@overthinker8706 I think your serious (tho it sounded half sarcastic to me), but if you watch Thermy's video (it's on his channel), he's discussing this the whole time. Paraphrase: "HeroMarine is a very high level player who always watches any recent replays he can, and because he finished his semi finals before mine, I know he just watched my first game verse clem and now I can't use that same build." Where upon Thermy sees HeroMarine scouting in the same spot and verifies HM watched the first game.

Last night I fell asleep watch Lowko's first cast of 2022. I dreamed I was driving a smart car and Lowko was in the passenger seat casting a match. I was driving over people walking on the road and being chased by the police and crashed, Lowko never stopped his cast, then I woke up. Lowko's vid was still playing.

Always fun watching a cast for Uthermal....this is one of his "challenges" . If unaware, He makes rules for what he can and cannot make or what he's required to make no matter the results...this was a entire build around reworked units only. Awesome to see him on your channel Lowko!

I know im a little late to this video, but I wanted to point out a couple of things. 1. 20:10 HeroMarine places a command center off center lol 2. 23:38 You can see uThermal's scans barely pick up the battle cruisers for a split second in between his scans, and uThermal couldnt believe his eyes so he scanned for a third time in the crack between the 2 scans. I just thought that was pretty funny.

@@robertk1834 that is the reason pros go for a ton of different strategies. But I agree if your currently in a tournament you shouldn’t be allowed to view anyone else’s tournament games until after you either won or been eliminated. I think their idea is well they can just look at games right before the tournament but tournaments aren’t the same as ladder matches and only one person gets that advantage.

Yeah, got it fixed already. In many cases it's possible to fix the tire without completely replacing it. Not sure if car technicians do this in your country.

Yeah, other games were better, but I think Lowko only casts games where uThermal looses xDD. I do like very much these three youtube dutchmen (Lowko, Uthermal and Harstem) and I think their different aproach to the game are complementary, at least for me. BTW, Lowko, sometime it's hard for me to follow the SC2 Season and sometimes I don't know if that particular game is important or if it's a random weekly tournament... Could you please explain what tournaments are in a year, where and the importance of them? Love your content, and sorry for the screw in your tire. Just out of curiosity, car or bike?

how i look at battlecruisers is that every time you loose one its basically a dead mothership since those are -400 -400 and that gives at least to me quite different perspective to imagine player loosing like 5 motherships when he looses 5 BCs

It would seem like that one raven in eahc of those fights would of leveled it, but what ended up happening was marc lost ... 4-6 extra vikings in each fight because of fighting de armoured, where it would of been better to retreat and then return.... surprised he didn't have it, his tank push and loss was huge... falling behind on air is tough climb, he had it ,but both times he fought... to aggressive iwth -2 armor... So... it owuld of been better for him to target fire only the bc's and go around to assault them... since they canonly only attack the ground anyways... marines would of also been useful.. marine balls... for vikings and turrets... 3 shoting a bc... was pretty useful... but the bc.. is better approached from behind I can't remember it exzactly, but its turn acleration is slightly slower, so you can go in hit and leave... and it can chase and fire at you... but never appraoch a moving bc when its speed is the same, lol... I jsut htink marx knew he had more nubmers and assumed he would win... that fight... over commited.... a few cyclones would of been great to target fire those ravens and vikings doign the fight also... since vikings cannot attack ground its best to.. abuse that... and deal with the elephant in teh room.

They were extensively used in TvT. Also when combined with cheaper / quicker to build Ravens they would be very problematic for harassment.
