You can actually hear some of this cut-off part in the official StarCraft soundtrack album, but it's still cut too short.

It was combined music of both Warcraft and Protoss into single entity of Glenn Stafford. StarCraft never used this music when this game released and is once heard only on early builds of this game. Note: Entertain used it from January 1997 until January 2011 albeit with TrueVisions standards.

LOL, im so glad blizzard considered changing Starcraft in many different ways many different times til the final version. xD. This song only sounds tossish at 0:50 . I never played warcraft 2 so I dont know how similiar they both were but looking at all the comments, seems like it was taking straight from warcraft 2.

The version I have is 128kbps, 44.1kHz. I don't know if youtube downsamples the mp3s but to me it sounds the same.

Didn't the part around 1:30 end up getting used in a Terran song? The stuff after 0:50 and around 2:00 definitely got Protoss vibes though. Around 3:00 there's a crescendo that sounds like the one used in the final main menu music (before that version loops).

Nah as you said 0:50-3:00 ended up being one of the Protoss themes. Everything else sounds original.
