My goodness these pros are not human. How can you multitask like that. Serral is quickly becoming my new favorite zerg.

Neeb is the only guy who can actually stand against serral for that long with that little holy shit.

like did they just completely forget about upgrades after a certain point. I know these guys know what they're doing but an upgrade costs about as much as an immortal and it would have helped immensely.

Brilliant game

I can't understand why Neeb just refused to establish any new bases from the middle of the game despite needing income so direly. Especially that upper right cluster of resources was there for the grabs for so long.

The lag spike cost all those immortals at such a crucial part of the game...

What an entertaining meta. Toss can't leave their base, and zerg just clubs them repeatedly.

brilliant movement and tactics by serral what a ridiculous tournament!

I'm suprised that neeb didn't go air, I think a couple carriers would help a lot aganist hydras and lurkers

Yes, I feel like that lag spike cost Neeb a very winnable game.

Neeb did the best he could, but I feel like his mistakes were several fold. There was a point in the middle of the game where Neeb won a major engagement and had Serral on his back foot. At that point Serral made a bunch of zerglings and started running around and killing Neeb's remaining economy. Whereas Serral prioritized keeping his economy strong, Neeb kept losing workers and not replacing them. His army composition was such that he could afford to do slightly more with slightly less, and in a game going the distance I really feel like he needed to maybe drop some shield batteries and cannons at key choke points. Serral understood this and massed his lurkers in the center of his side to keep Neeb back, and he would just continue and replace hatches as they were sniped. If Neeb had just taken his top right base, he would have been in a much better situation. If Serral committed to shutting that down he would have risked getting into a bad engagement against high templar. But what I would have really liked to see from Neeb would have been some Tempests to go with that mothership. Neeb didn't value that mothership enough and allowed it to go down way too easily against hydras. Also, Neeb had a bad habit of splitting his army and venturing onto creep with small groups of really expensive units like immortals and high templar. If he wanted to try to get some snipes, send in some chargelots to run by but don't risk the gas heavy units. I know a lot was going on, but the decision to venture onto creep without his whole army together was dubious. Hats off to Serral, who has since proven that he's easily the best player in the world, hands down. I just feel such frustration for Neeb who is obviously brilliant but simply doesn't pay enough attention to fundamentals like keeping his economy going and finding better tech for more efficient trades.

Protoss couldnt never engage properly because the speed of the zerg was faster, he could never reach those hydras or roaches, they always ran away
