It seems like classic ran out of builds for the grand finals. Classic doesn't win grand finals with pure macro skills like inno, or micro skills like byun. He wins with amazing builds that nobody thinks of and uses almost every advantage he can get with the map layout. He has successfully made 3 builds against Serral, and it worked out very effectively, but we see none of such well crafted builds in the grand finals. This was a similar problem for last year's blizzcon with Soo vs Rogue, where SoO later said in an interview that he was so glad it was a ZvZ but after game 3 (he was leading 2:1, and the lost was a close one) he realized he had run out of builds. There's also the problem of getting cocky. After winning against Serral he said in Korean (it wasn't translated 100% well) that wouldn't it make my victory all the more grand (implied to be deserving of respect) if I won against a Terran in the grand finals now that I won against a Zerg? I suspect his overwhelming victory against Serral made classic loosen up a little, and you never want to do any grand finals in a relaxed state. However, I think the biggest reason is Classic not having planned that far. I don't blame him, since he didn't know whether he was going to go up against Maru or Rogue. Rogue on the other hand, skipped TvZ practice entirely and focused only on PvZ, so that worked out really nice for him.

i think Starcraft 2 is the MOST balanced RTS game there is, its not just coincidence that all 3 races won tournaments already. Its not that zerg is OP, but these games of Rogue were just insane, winning that 4th match after that all-in really shows that he deserved this title. congrats to him, and inform yourself about the game before just claiming "zerg OP"

I want to see in these World Tournaments - Randomized maps never seen before, specifically designed for Tournament play made by Blizzard or Esports per bracket and to Randomly choose which race will be played per map. Too much familiarity going on in these challenges.

Psi-storm's instant nature is overpowered. There is no escaping damage from it. Considering how large its area is and the damage it does, it should be avoidable.

I think serral is as good if not better than rogue. It is just a simply style counter of Classic vs Rogue. I think classic needed more sentries to stop the banelings, rogue harass defense was great vs oracle. Maybe needed more zealot harass instead.

So if I understand correctly, zerg has to be ahead in bases, ahead in drone count, and since 1v1 protoss units are stronger, zerg also has to have more units... and has to spread good amount of creep to the map, while also having utmost drone control to dodge any potential harrasses... And zerg still wins?

In the last game, Classic stopped making Void Rays, which could have countered zerg ground. He could also have gone high templar and used feedback on the queens. A few shield batteries would also have helped his units survived longer. There is always a counter.

Voids counter roaches, not just because they don't shoot up but also because voids do bonus damage to armored units. I personally feel like feedback is undervalued by most people, but I might be undervaluing psi storm. It would be interesting to see if 3 of those oracles were voids, feedback was used on the queens, and then the voids were free to kill the roaches (though toss wouldn't have immortals in this case, so the roaches could do a lot of damage before they were cleaned up).

The problem with the guy who controls the view of the game is that he thinks it's about him. he's saying "I'm fast". Because of his self apparent "fastness" he's making us miss things. Maybe it's not just him. Maybe it's also the director. I absolutely hate it when they switch to first person view in the middle of the battle because then I can't see the supply anymore.

lol @ all the calls for Zerg nerfs. Maybe pull up the Classic v Serral series. Serral is one of the top Zergs in the world, and he got slapped around by Classic. Rogue is just that good. I also think he did a much better job studying Classic in preparation. You can see loads of tiny adjustments from his earlier series, and I think Rogue started off strongly with an early nydus build that really put Classic on the backfoot for the rest of the series. Punishing greedy protoss early can get them to play ,more conservative, giving Zerg the edge.

Guys considering these players are making hundreds of thousands of dollars at a keyboard, with little hope of making that kind of money in any other walk of life(not to mention a game we all love) I'd say the hype is justified. Artosis and Tasteless are perfect for bringing interest to the games and energy to the scene. Also Tasteless's voice goes up 2 octaves when a warp prism/oracle gets under 10hp and I laugh every time. Leave our casters alone, for the love of God.

nydus network is absolutely overpowered. being able to INSTANTLY TELEPORT not just an entire army, but CONTINUOUSLY teleport reinforcements to the INSIDE OF THE ENEMY MAIN across the ENTIRE map is the most obnoxiously broken strategy in this game. if utilized properly when the enemy has not scouted it or blind guessed it, it should be a 100% win rate and needs to be removed from the game. the fact this worked in game 1 and the last series the way it did is blatant proof of this fact. thanks for reading

I can't believe Serral got 3-0'd by this guy. Why the F is Classic making all those oracles in Game 4 when he should have been pumping non-stop void rays? News Flash: you need energy for those oracles to shoot, whereas those void rays are OUTSTANDING vs. queens and even spores. Classic case of mental meltdown under pressure.

In my opinion they should remove disruptors and give protoss a cheap and fast robotic unit that can do run-bys and counterattacks like zerglings and hellions can. The idea of giving disruptors to protoss was so dumb, they already have Colossi and High Templars for area damage, a third AoE unid was unneeded.

The fact that Serral could make it to the semifinal and scarlet made it that far in GSL clearly shows that it is broken. Scarlet had never made it once to the RO16 and now RO8? Serral beated Trap and Zest. Scarlet beated SoS, Maru, etc. Yes they did improve so do others. Luck? If just one of them then maybe yes but now together all Zerg players in countries other than korean achieved something like this, its quite unlikely. Well I believe Blizzard will start the nerfing soon.
