@narrowpath24747 жыл бұрын
Derrick Mims I was thinking that dog never say never vibe but yeah some nirvana influence.
@miked43097 жыл бұрын
sorry guys...this is more late 70's glam rock. runaways, iggy, bowie, hanoi rocks, new york dolls...that dog is more power pop. this is straight forward rock n roll.....but i hate genres. its all rock n roll to me. its the guitar solo. grunge bands, 90's bands didnt have guitar solos. thats how you can tell. you could say alice in chains but they were more of a metal band imho.
@POPNDOUGH7 жыл бұрын
I agree with the glam rock/proto-punk influence on this band, but I very much disagree with the 90s bands didn't have guitar solos part. They didn't have the speedy 80's whammy bar and finger tapping solos, but they made up for it with more feeling, and creative use of feedback, noise, and dynamics. Pearl Jam, Dinosaur Jr, Smashing Pumpkins, and Built to Spill have some of the best solos I've ever heard.
@miked43097 жыл бұрын
good point...i was thinking more nirvana and mudhoney as lacking guitar solos...dino jr. has a lot of them and pearl jam....might help that they have some amazing guitarist too....but i will say this boy henri is amazing on guitar at age 16 too.
@ziweiyuan7 жыл бұрын
Arrow is 18, I think, and the rest of them are in that rough age range. Most of them probably have fuzzy childhood memories at best of 9/11, so 90's riot grrls and power pop would be way before their time.

They totally nailed the classic 70's British guitar tone. I'd guess Orange or Marshall amps, probably low gain with a Tube Screamer pedal in front of the pre amp. That's how I replicated their tone best I could. It's a super easy song but it's fun as heck to just jam along to.

To all the people making jokes about eating disorders and whether the lead singer is a sufferer or not clearly you have no understanding of what wicked afflictions these things are and how they destroy lives, families and relationships. To be tormented by the very thing that sustains life is misery not choice.

Neither is being the token "mixed friend" but I manage. The people commenting about her weight are the ones who really care. I'm overweight and the only people who told me are the ones who cared. A lot of people dont notice they have a problem until someone else points it out. (Also I'm overweight because I do have an eating disorder, and I couldnt give one fuck about what others say about it. I'm self improving, and shit takes time.)

Masterpiece on visuals, the video and the rock played is adjusted to certain restrictions to amplify creativity: Starcrawler playing I Love LA shows the ambiance to the 1980's and the tune of the band style as well. The creativity is well thought, the script and dialogues shown before to starting the song is another geniality because again shows what PUNK can do being an extravagant way to be oppose to the main stream but being present at the same time to certain other public. at the 1980's a rock band cannot get help from AI, Artificial Intelligence,
