i just came from a video by thehaboo where he talked about what you're doing, and man, i am _mesmerized._ i love seeing people Game Fast so it makes sense i would love seeing a person helping a machine (or is it a machine helping a person?) to Game Faster lol. i have a question though. is the behavior of dropped items (eg when you get mixed seeds from cutting weeds) predictable enough that you were able to plan for it in your commands? or did you just have to tell the program, "okay, stand in this spot for a second or two, and we'll assume you picked these seeds up"?

One of the things I wanted to be careful on is I’m not spoofing rng. Weeds pick what they drop on the frame they’re destroyed, so I wrote some code to predict if a weed will drop a mixed seed on the next frame. The pauses are me slowly advancing frame-by-frame/rechecking until I can get 1-2 mixed seeds from a clump of weeds. Most other stuff is seeded from file creation/based on things the TAS can control like step counts (such as manipulating the weather) or by waiting on a mines floors to reroll the next floor (retriggered every second real time)

Or if you meant like how the items fall, it might be predictable but that’s one of the things I haven’t super looked into. I’m often annoyed by items on the bare edge of the magnet radius lol

Some of your mining animation cancels seem way better than others. is that just me? is there some reason for it?

the swing has different frame timing to cancel when swinging downwards (13 frames) vs the other directions (10) which is probably what you're observing? If you're talking multi-swing breaks, there are probably a bunch of times where I don't frame perfect the next hit/might reswing a frame late, though I think more of that would be observable on the farm where the camera movement forces my mouse off the desired swing tile and I need an extra frame to realign.

Meteors are seeded, but this was an example where I did virtually no prep when selecting a seed other than looking at the mines days for monster floors (I used the same seed as a previous TAS run)… I’m not going to break it so it’s purely time loss lol
