Here is a link to a guide that tells you how to make 5 million your first year. Of course that was before the nerf, but still very helpful. Big spoiler alert. Some people find it more enjoyable to figure it out by themselves. Oh, and this doesn't involve fishing as so many of the guides do, nor how to farm the mushroom level of the mines which is nice since that's been stopped as of 1.4.

To everyone saying this would take them 13 years: That’s fine. Don’t stress yourself. I have the same problem but I know I can do everything later. Tip: once you have cleared out your farm, winter is a perfect time to start redesigning! Also bear in mind that you don’t have to always have animals/crops. You can set aside a whole year just to redesign and move all your barns or coops etc. Sometimes I get overwhelmed but I just think about all these things and I feel better.

You don’t HAVE to water the bowl, it just helps u get closer to your pet. Like how petting your barn animals helps u get closer to them. You don’t have to do it, but almost everyone does.

MayTheGamer 12 actually petting barn animals increases their happiness which results in a higher chance for them to produce whatever it is they produce on a daily basis. Cats and dogs don’t produce anything

@@alonelywalker6602 U need to get 12 points before the end of the second year by doing certain things like catching all the fish, or completing the community center. Petting and feeding your dog gives u an easy point.

Pro tip to those who don't know what to do in winter: use that time to decorate your farm, build structures, refine materials, and make deep skull cavern runs.

Thb it was getting in my way everytime I tried to move a building or reorganize objects on the farm, it would always just be standing exactly where I was trying to place things. So I had to make him a temporary little home lol

Try the Stardew Valley Planner V2. It's a website that let's you plan out a farm kindof from a birds eye perspective. It's an amazing tool. I just finished planning one yesterday. Annnd......I'm probably going to start a new game because of it lol.

I'm on year 4. I don't have pigs ( I can upgrade my barn but that's effort) I haven't completed the community center. I only unlocked the greenhouse last year. I am great friends with like 2 people (excluding my wife-emily) but u know what. I'm happy with everything. I have 2 beautiful kids and my farms growing faster than ever! It's okay to play at your own pace.

The other farms may be a little more difficult but they are way prettier and it's not like the lost space means much. You can easily become a billionaire farmer on any map. If I remember right even the "worst" map has over 1500 farmable spaces which is just ridiculous. Money becomes pretty useless after a point. Once your making like 100k a day there isn't really any point in expanding further and you can get there on one of the pretty maps with using only a fraction of your available land. If you decide to max out you can easily make a million a day on a pretty map so why bother going for the plain boring one?

Ahhh you don't have to hide chests inside the dresser for clothes! You can put the clothes directly in the dresser and its bottomless! Although that may have not been a feature then, I'm pretty sure it was.

Guide to getting money in stardew if you aim to get rich: get hella pigs and then get the iridium quality forage perk. If you need more then just plant starfruits and make wine out of them you get a bunch of money every 7 days.

You have to let them grow fully before placing the tiles otherwise your trees won't grow!
