While Jotaro has a lot pent up anger, however he is not evil. The whole reason he called it a evil spirit is because he was confused and afraid of accidentily hurting someone. Hence while wanted to be locked up. He just a angry " bancho" teenager with attitude. Though is more to him than that. Also it is only a passing mention, but his dad is a Jazz musician and is always on tour for his work. Leaving Jotaro alone with his mom. Obviously this has caused him to act out due to his daddy issues. His mom can only do so much to appease him up to that point.

Impeccable description honestly, the only info I would personally add is that it's important for appreciating his character to understand the fact that he seems to be really expressionless in the anime because it's an adaptation of other medium an there's more little moments shown here and the moments in which he really shows up who he is don't stick up as much in contrast to the manga where you get a whole panel for his reactions and expressions.

Part 3 isn't peak jojo it's just where stands were introduced and the fanbase likes to correlate that to "peak jojo" in my opinion part 5 is where the writing and fights start to work perfectly in sync. Peak jojo hasn't even been animated yet don't get me wrong this part more specifically the back half is straight goated but Araki was still experimenting and improving as a writer over time. The pay off is worth it because we reach points where there is strings of episodes that are straight bangers, we probably look back at "stand of the week" as a slog which it can be but these guys probably don't really perceive that as a flaw right now.

Part 5 (at least the anime) is honestly genuine peak fiction & JoJos because David Productions fixed the pacing issue that all previous parts had, cleared up the confusion with the bizarre stands such as KC, revitalized the series overall popularity from simply just being popular to actual mainstream levels (mainly thanks to Giorno’s theme “Il Vento D'oro”) and most of all it’s part of the OG verse as opposed to SBR which is a rebooted verse, and while it may be a amazingly exceptional, it could never be better than what’s part of the OG continuity as that would imply that everything that’s part of what came before is inferior or wasn’t great on its own in the same way that critics and many people think the original Greek saga of GΩW Games are somehow below GΩW 4/2018. So until SBR gets properly adapted potentially better than it’s manga source, it remains to be seen on whether it’s actually peak JoJos or not. David productions is going to have the hardest time ever with those horses tho, and if Netflix still has the airing rights it will ultimately fail…… Also, while part 3 may not be Peak JoJos, it’s still the part that established the series for what it is and came to be, as well as the meta-turning point as it took place in the same time that JoJos began in the real world, not to mention introducing the face/star of the series: Jotaro, who admittedly becomes far better later on.

When you look at Holly and how she is as a character, though, it kinda makes sense, doesn't it? She's so nice, happy, super clingy, and she likely never disciplines Jotaro. Jojo season 3 has been considered as the best Jojo arc. Because this season was such a turn around where STAND was introduced and took rest of Jojo arcs whole new direction from past two seasons. And a return of iconic villain Dio is so exciting. I’m sure yo’ll have so much fun with Jojo season 3.

Part 3 is like the freeza saga of Jojo it's the arc that got everyone's attention with the fan base. It's one of the best parts in the series the only other 2 people tend to put over part 3 is parts 5 and myself included for Part 7 which is peak fiction Part 7 Steel ball run is easily one of the best mangas I've ever read only ones that come close is Berserk,Fist of the north star,One Punch man and Hajime no ippo.

I agree that part 3 is a bit overrated, only part 1 was worse for me. It is definitely iconic for introducing stands, but it was the one part I felt that I was laboring through when re-watching the whole series. The pacing was too slow, and the "stand battle of the week" format got stale pretty quickly. Araki definitely refined the formula in later parts, when it felt like each fight had something at stake and advanced the plot instead of just being there for the sake of adding another fight.
