Let me know if you liked this video without music and with ambient sounds! There's only some music in the intro and then in the end, but other than that, I wanted to leave natural sounds and occasionally add some comments. Should I make more videos like that? This necklace made me so happy. After several stages, in which I doubted that it could even look good, and after a couple of little fails I wasn't so sure... But I trusted the process, like they say, and luckily it turned out great! Do you like it? I hope you do ❤ If you'd like to see similar process videos, check out these, I'm very proud of them: - Making a botanical turquoise open ring: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHu3gaummKainrs - Making a Harry Potter owl cage: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnilZoGrpt57iaM - Making a Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle pendant: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqW9iaRoiMypf5I

This is also my favorite of your pieces. I love that it is inspired by the folklore of your culture. I am American, but my grandmother was from Lithuania. This piece of jewelry and the story you told reminded me of my grandmother and how when I was a little girl, she would braid fern fronds and flowers, usually buttercup and dandelions, into crowns for Midsummer.

Hey Basia, please don’t stop making those videos. I really enjoy every part of them. I have two questions for you. First what type of burrs do you use for adding/engraving? Second, do you dedicate polishing discs to remove extra patina for you use the same one? I am concerned if the patina will transfer on that disc and then back to clean metal. Thank you!!!

Hiya Lady Stardust, You just keep doing it; time after time, you produce a work of art from thin air! This is a perfect example of what you do and how. In this, you've taken a legend from an area of Europe I know very little about and turned it into a piece of jewellery that is a beauty in every way. You've taken the legend and turned it into art, forming the perfect artefact to bring to life a story going back how far? Centuries? Longer? You've taken the hole in the gem and hidden a flower there to carry on the legend and show off your skill in producing this hidden secret. The flower has long been a feature of your work, showcasing the talent you bring to all your art. Long may that continue. That fern drifting across the centre is perfect, and I did like the beaded wire, shame about it pinging off, but it is a lovely colour, or should I say colours. Those shades complement each other, making an excellent choice of stone. Excellent components are brought together in an understanding way to show off your skill and understanding of what does and does not work. This does.

To be honest, I like "ugly" stages of jewelery, they're almost quite charming. Maybe it's a mix of being used to store bought finished products and my passion for how things are made, but seeing the in between stages is so fascinating. And sometimes the oxidation makes cool patterns, especially brass.
