Dear Basia, how else can anyone comment on this blog other than in awe about yourself and your journey as an artist. Like an explorer into a new world, leaving everything behind and no one to share the thoughts of moments good and bad. Just to come back home and share the discoveries, not knowing if anyone is listening. But through my personal long life I have discovered that there is always someone, sitting in a secret space, wishing he/she could be as wonderful as you. Thanks you for everything 🙏🏻🌹 Raymond 🇦🇺

dont deprive the world of your beautiful pieces for a year because those colours all so look beautiful with whites orange and yellow summer colours .And make a little boring black dress look stunning and it would be a great plain canvas for such a stunning piece of artwork because you dont make just jewlery it is art to stand out even more. Have a lovely christmas rest and come back next year full of ideas ❤

oh my goodness, you absolutely made my day, thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts! It means the world to me, and you've made an excellent point. I have some "seasonal" pieces that I actually wear all year round - precisely because they add colour or style to otherwise plain outfits. So I should've known, but I was still overthinking it until I painted myself into a corner. It was so limiting, but now I feel much better, thank you for this freeing feedback! ❤ Have a wonderul and happy Christmas break and a beautiful New Year ❤

I wear what I want when I want and don’t care about the season, I don’t personally view jewellery as seasonal, I choose and buy jewellery based on colours that suit me and go with the colours that look good for me to wear. However if you feel you want to save it and have a collection of autumn type colours then you do that, do whatever is right for you with your beautiful pieces!

I sell my jewelry at anytime. Right now I have some extra snowflakes pendants, so I plan to have an after Christmas Sale… I would wear my amber jewelry anytime of the year.. So sell your amber jewelry. Almost everyone is looking to buy amber jewelry. Hugs, Merry Christmas 🎄Michelle

That's very helpful, Michelle, thank you so much for sharing your input! You're right. Amber isn't just seasonal, it's an all-year type of gem that goes well with lots of outfits and it's quite beneficial, too. I have a couple of beautiful finished pieces with amber, I'll release them with the next shop update then ❤ Hugs and best wishes! Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

Thank you, thank you, thank you Basia! 🙏💖 I've been caught between deleting my Instagram (YT and Insta are the only ones I currently use) and not for quite some time now, and since I'm not quite ready to launch a business yet, why have I been holding onto it? 🤷♀️ For "inspiration" is what I kept telling myself but it only leads to comparison in my brain which doesn't do me any good, needed that push, apparently all the way from Poland 😅 deleting and clearing right after posting this comment! 💗 And I collect butterflies and insects too, so beautiful they deserve to be respected 🤩 hope you are enjoying a relaxing time in your life and feel free to launch a piece of your art whenever it suits you, in or out of season, your work speaks for itself! 💖

ahh, thank you so much, Alicia! I'm very happy you enjoyed this video and could relate to the thoughts I shared ❤ You're absolutely right - there is no point to be spending a lot of time on Instagram, if you're not working on your prodile there. The content may only bring you down, while insted you should be putting all of your energy in your own art! ❤ I hope that deleting this - at least until you're happy with your own work and wanting to share it with the world, will make you feel better. Thank you so much for your kind words about launching my work - I also needed to hear this! It helps a lot. I may have been too much in my own head and ended up overthiking something that should be easy haha :)

I think you won't regret it! I used to find that when I used instagram there was so much inspiration that it was completely overwhelming and made me feel really inadequate and unproductive. For every idea I had, there were 10, 20, 50 people on instagram already doing it better than I ever could. Since deleting social media and getting rid of my smartphone over a year ago I've never felt more creative, and I do have the time. All the hours I wasted scrolling are now hours I spend making. And there's loads of inspiration that's not on instagram - the world's full of it! I think I sound like a stuck record on this subject, but I really, really recommend just deleting social media. Life's so much better without it!

That necklace is gorgeous! It doesn't strike me as strictly a seasonal piece. Someone who loves nature and wears warm colors would wear it anytime. I think it's a statement piece for ALL seasons.

I feel like we are always a season ahead with clothing and jewelry so we are coming up on the New Year with some places being in winter. Well in the fashion world they will be starting to show and market spring and summer clothing. Then when the next season comes it is the next fashion wave. So, someone might find your pieces they want to wear at the current time or wait for the right time for them. Follow your gut/heart as they will guide you in the right direction.

this is perfect, so well said, Kim, thank you! That's what I needed to hear ❤ I hope others see your comment too, especially if they struggle with a similar issue and overthink it just like I do haha ;) I appreciate you sharing this with us, thank you!

I’ve honestly never thought of jewellery as seasonal. Marvel it’s because I live in a temperate climate. So, I’d put the amber piece up for sale! Thanks also for talking about anxiety. I’m on my summer holidays and am struggling to wind down. Lots of deep breaths
@chromegirl217510 ай бұрын
I have some seasonal pieces (Halloween), but I wear Baltic amber all year. I'm making myself a 5-strand Ukrainian-style necklace. (I'm of Ukrainian and Polish descent), so ,to me, it's my heritage, so I do wear these all year. I also wear orange in the summer.
@TheArtOfMetalsmithing10 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for pointing that out! I've been too focused on seasonal aspect of things that I completely overlooked the others, heritage being one of them. You're very right! Oh and the necklace you're making now sounds amazing! I'm sure it will be gorgeous ❤

I would keep the pieces that "feel" like Autumn for next Autumn... But that's just me. If I'm not excited about them...which I'm less likely to be when the season is over...I just feel like that lack of excitement might somehow come through...and also that I may be less likely to really value them properly. I think this a very personal decision though. I think it all comes down to how YOU are feeling about it.
@PBCreation9610 ай бұрын
I’ve commented many times on many videos, but I feel that this one’s gonna be a bit longer so apologies in advance! 😅 so, growing up in the US, I was always in circles that had this idea that the only jewelry a guy should wear is a wedding band, and maybe a religious necklace. I’ve always been fascinated by the accessories I’d see growing up: the various rings, pendants, and seeing the designs, colors, etc. but I never felt comfortable with wearing anything until my class ring my junior year of high school. I remember I got to design it, and I loved it! Now, while trying to make up for all the lost time, I try to make things that *I* love first and foremost, as well as trying to find Ukrainian styles and art techniques (my ex girlfriend is Ukrainian, and I hope to volunteer with as a medic soon). I ordered a signet ring from a store in Dnipro with the ancient symbol of Yaroslav the Wise set in Sterling Silver that I wear everyday. I don’t follow the seasons necessarily, but rather what feels good at the time. Same when designing, I just want to do it all! If anything, I want to do it for the younger me who was to anxious to step out of his comfort zone. I hope that you have an abundant 2024!

@@TheArtOfMetalsmithing 😂 just made my 5th attempt at soldering this ring shank on. I forgot to stabilize it and it fell over. Do you have any videos on how to control your torch and temperature? The thing I finally figured out is that if I turn the lights down I can see the color / heat better, and also my little solder wire pieces I cut, sometimes they sit better if I flatten them a bit and spray with flux first. Also, with your question you posed to the audience about "seasonal" jewelry; if you don't have something listed you can't sell. And I have browsed your site a few times, and it is very easy to navigate, and I feel more variety in jewelry is a great thing. Maybe not for a restaurant that wants to keep everything fresh and in season, because food expires too much variety may be a bad thing, but for jewelry, there's endless styles so why not list as many as you can at all times as long as you have an easy to navigate and nice looking website? Good designs are timeless but never sell unseen. Anyway, those are my thoughts and I appreciate you and am in your corner wishing you success
