Starfield House Varuun Ship habs Paid Mod Is It Worth It (XBOX/PC)

As always, thank you so much for showcasing my mods! - Unlike Skyrim, we're unfortunately not allowed to use the DLC for Starfield and the base game does not have many Va'ruun assets to work with. So I decided to add more habs with Va'ruun lighting and colors in to allow a full ship builds - I will add Va'ruun ships for sale to the station and ship builder, as I modified all vanilla Va'ruun ships with the new habs already anyways. Great suggestion! - I could've sworn I unlocked the safe in the computer core, apparently not! It'll be unlocked in the next update as well - The interior mostly consists of Stroud and Taiyo elements, tho Taiyo and Hope, like Deimos and Stroud are exact copies of each other with just different colors

I appreciate that these habs are available in vanilla ships. I wish the Crimson Fleet habs did the same. Integration helps with immersion.

Eleanora did her work early on. The idea of modifying base game ships might have felt "wrong". Expectations for such things change over time.

I love the armory bought just for that. Would also be cool if the author eventually can make empty varuun habs and you can decorate with the mod assets.

Great video as always Crimson! I took a long break since Bethesda decided to bork ship building right before the expansion. I know there's mods that still let you merge and such, but I started a new game without them because I wanted to get any new achievements or whatever. So, any mods that add ship building options and are "achievement friendly" are nice. I could have missed it, but it seems like any of the mods that allow merging, flip-glitching, etc. are not achievement friendly.

Between DownfallNemesis and SomethingWicked3 it's great to see modders adding things we missed out on in Shattered Space. Awesome mod. Only downside is the specific decoration placement makes it difficult to use some of these habs in certain Va'ruun ships without losing a lot of furniture (think captain's quarters in a Va'Ruun Dirge, for example). And in some cases all the candles and multiple logos in one small space seems a bit much.

The storage room probably need some groat meat hanging on hooks or a big bucket of Groat Chunks :D I think hanging the occasional banner would have been nice especially on the bridges.

Unfortunately, that is all content from Shattered Space, and Paid Creations are not allowed to use any content from DLCs. Which I agree, is very silly, but that is why they could not use any assets from Shattered Space to make this.

This Creation is perfect for my "House Ma'leen" build replica of The Mourning (C Class, not M) and now I have perfect interiors. Thanks for reviewing Crimson. I love the 1x1 Prayer Hab. Unrelated, I was happy yo see Korodic's Useful Brigs and Non-Lethal Framework get Achievement Friendly versions. The "questionable" Paid Creation for me this week is the 700 Credit one that adds two skill trees and some explosive mines. I hope you get a chance to look into that, if it is worth the high price. I wish that one had custom Skill Icons.

Anyone else still having issues with ship builder freezing the game when trying to exit after building a large ship or just changing one thing on a ship!?!? If so, has anyone found a fix to this?!

I like the new hab set. And co pared, yes we all pull this one up , ancient Mariner hab from beyhesda (before a modder fleshed it out) the price is no where near that. I liked that some of the changes reakky are not obvious..like the added clserver walls, etc.. unless you are comparing split screen you might not catch all the changes. The locked/empty safe is part of the vanilla hab so maybe it has as auto lock behind the scenes. Rhe bigger bridge i liked as the perpendicular stations do feel right..but yes a bit tight. To bad the nav console cant be like 75% size. The battle stations had great new tweaks on the conceot, more of a cic than a battle bridge but i get not wanting to confuse people with name changes.

Definitely skipping this one, candles with lights overhead really doesn't make sense and for varuun habs theres better out there for free.. you have DP, MAT, and Owl to name a few who release free mods that should be paid that blows this out of the water.. for 600 is crazy I don't see one hab that screams buy me. I brought his luxurious ship Habs and have Fortuna in my load order with other mods like V's apartment that isn't going anywhere.. this seems like a step back from his work... and for 600 it isn't worth it imo.. His Fortuna hab is an example of a mod that should be paid for that's free. Compare that to this or his luxurious ship Habs and you see what I'm getting at. Bummer I really like supporting modders work but I'm not buying Habs at 600 just to buy them.. Thanks for taking the time to review this one bro!

That starstation interior appears to be the one from the abandoned starstation random encounter, the original has quite a big interior with a ship or ship in parts inside it similar to the Trackers Alliance staryard, going to get this update to rebuild my Va’ruun Epiphany using these habs though, the look very cool, I think the plants are small versions of the Venom Tree that’s inside the Embassy in New Atlantis I like the cockpits having shielded cargo built in, means you can save some weight with your builds if you really need to

Do we think the ships in Starfield are using a nitrogen/O2 mix, or a lower pressure of pure oxygen? Whether candles are a good idea depends largely on this (aside from the soot getting into the electronics). The presence of candles strongly suggests a nitrogen/O2 mix at a higher pressure rather than a pure O2 at a lower one. Some of the spacesuits are skin conformal and probably wouldn't be an issue, with others, higher pressure nitrogen would make EVA a pain in the ass if you're on a moon with no atmosphere.

In my head, I viewed these completely different definitely not worth the $6 in my opinion 😅 I feel like they should be a little bit more darker as in the lighting and it just looks like they just threw candles and the same plant all over the place….

Might be because they did not use any Shattered Space content, to make it accessible to everyone. They could have made it more Va'ruun, but then you would have to own Shattered Space to use this.

No one talks about this but why is bethesda allowing ship hab mods to be sold knowing we cant actually use all of them because the vanilla ship builder height length width limitations set in place? 😆

But wait there's more 😆 Then some modder makes it so there is no ship building limitations that u can buy but then it just makes u ask why is bethesda charging us for ship habs we can't use and not removing the limitations on ship building knowing we can't add all the habs we want... So do u just stop buying habs? Or keep buying habs but can't quite make the ship u really want Idk ya win some ya lose some and ya give ah lil bit away 😆

Hello flyby, on xs I'm vaglus, I've 73 years, playing bethesta and other games since the 80's...and I should need your help in a 7 g long modlist on starfield, any ideas how I can get in touch with you, if you have a moment. The pc burned out last year,so I have just my cellphone for contact, and the last 3 xb generations still fonctionnel with a bunch of original old triple a games. Sorry to say also,I'm paralysed the lower bodyparts, so gaming's the only thing for every day's work Maybe I might get some answer. Otherwise, needless to say that you're doing great work in ship building and mod info, Otherwise I wouldn't have dared to ask you for help. Thanks a hell of a lot for your patience.

A good mod, worth it for everyone that likes to build ships (there is free Varuun themed Habs mod as well) But it just makes me a bit angry that Bethesda could not put in the effort to make Habs like this themself, like when you finish the UC Vanguard Questline you get UC Military themed decorated Habs, when you do the Crimson one the same there (like the paid mod for it), when you help the Rangers you get Freestar themed decorated ones and so on, no they could not put that little bit of effort into it and instead have their "verified" creators sell them and get a nice +25% cut from it. Just always feels like the focus was to have a kinda life service game to milk the players. And not just for Habs, take the Heathleech mod, something so simple that you hear all the time when you are in a spaceport to check for them as they can infest your ship, someone had to make a paid mod for something that is mentioned and a big part of the lore instead of Bethesda simply doing it themself...

These habs are a bit lame. They are basically vanilla habs and cockpits with some candles, HV symbols and color changes. Not worth paying for IMO.
