Man it's OK. The combat needs ALOT of work. The story is super safe and woke. I like the game don't get me wrong, just I can see why this game got the reviews it did. It's a mix of some really great things and some really shit things. Mainly the combat which is the core of the game. If u played on anything but XBOX gamepass u got screwed on price too. Gamepass u get to play for $15 and see if u personally like it. They put it out on gamepass for a reason. Because they knew it wasn't an absolute banger.

The space battles and outposts are fun, but the combat has to be fun too. Did u play skyrim? Combat was amazing. Made u want to keep playing to get stronger and stronger. Didn't need outposts or space battles to be one of the best games ever made. See what they will do is sell u a better AI, weapons, and all over better combat experience in a DLC.

So true great analysis 💯% This is my first Bethesda game and I am completely blown away. Saying I’m impressed by this games creativity is a massive understatement. Watching the reviews of this game left me baffled and disappointed in the new media of game reviews. This KZbin era has really spawned a lot of greed from major companies who stealthily fund game reviewers. I can’t help but believe that given the fact that so many games get praised without having any true substance or creative value. Starfield has ALL of that and then some lol This is coming from a gamer who only plays shooters, sports games and select single player rpgs. I’ve never liked space games and came in with low expectations. Maybe that’s why I loved it but realistically the game is one of the most creative sandboxes I’ve ever stepped into. The side quest are so in depth they actually boost the game to a 10/10 for me. Great review I’ll be checking this channel out from now on💯

I love how almost every leader/main npc in the quest lines was a typical Mary Sue lol The only one I liked was Hadrian. In my experience so far, the game suffers what held Skyrim back at release. Yeah I’ve never seen this level of organized hate against a specific game before, it’s a bit disturbing. I suppose I’m a bit of a BGS fanboy, I loved all their work from Morrowind to Fallout 4. I skipped FO76, but just didn’t have a group to play with at the time. There are definitely a ton of things I don’t like in Starfield, but as an experience I can get lost in, it’s like nothing else around for me. My favorite game of the year and that’s saying a lot since I LOVED Dead Space and RE4 remakes.

I like Outer Worlds just a tad more. Mainly because of the color and look fo the game. But starfield is an excellent game for sure.
@HendyVelarius Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I don't think this is an "organized hate" or anything. It's more of an excessive expectations that people expect from either the unsustainable hype combined with expectations of a space sim. I got friends who are both fans of Bethesda and space sim games. ALL OF THEM expected WAY too much and became disappointed when they realized they can't fly seamlessly between space and planets, or customize interiors of the ship, or not having fuel/refuel mechanics, having limited amount of systems to explore, etc etc etc. EVERYONE compared this game (perhaps understandably so) to No Mans Sky and Star Citizen, and unfairly expected all of the positives of each in Starfield, and became disappointed when it isn't. This also goes the other way around. Fans of Bethesda games that aren't into space sims became disappointed with the way more close to real life aesthetic and lore is, the repetition of auto generated locations in planets, the tons of walking arounds in empty planets. You can see why this happens, and although I absolutely love and played the heck out of the game, I can understand why this happens.
@jandro8370 Жыл бұрын
Because the combat isn't good. The weapons aren't good. The loot isn't good. The crafting systems aren't good. The resources are meaningless. It wasn't treated unfairly. I've been putting a lot of hours into it. I only paid $15 on gamepass to play it tho.

@@jandro8370Well then that’s were opinions differ because the gunplay isn’t call of duty but it’s more than enough to keep me playing. I’m not even a space game type guy and I absolutely loved this game. Had to get past the first mission or so before it started to get going but it delivered on every end. Story was engaging, gunplay isn’t the best but it is VERY satisfying and realistic. The gun choices and upgrades are absolutely awesome. I cannot find any gripe with this game given the fact that AAA titles don’t deliver HALF of what starfield has. I can’t stop playing the game honestly lol I used to let reviews give me my taste in games until I figured out that everything that’s good won’t be loved by everybody. I’m glad I didn’t let the reviews sway me from trying this game because it’s one of the best I’ve played in YEARS

@live4christ295 dude the gunplay is like really bad. The gun selection is REALLY bad. There's only 1 type of melee weapon. It's all the same weapon with a different skin. There's only 3 types of guns. U can have ur cross hair on target and miss the enemy over and over. The AI is terrible and the enemies bug out constantly. The enemy type is all mostly human soldier clones. Barely any big aliens. Lots of walking and talking in between terrible combat. A few good questlines but nothing to write home about. There was nothing shocking or crazy exciting in the story.

Playing on a ultimate tier PC from last year, with a M.2 SSD and a 3090, I didnt realize the loading screens are so long. The loading screens on my end never take longer than the landing animation afterwards. Thats one of my gripes though. They animated using all sort of things. Landing, getting into and out of the pilot seat, stairs etc. It eats time. Other things i dislike. - Lockpicking of every 3rd container you encounter. Nobody would lock all their stuff. 1 lock on the door and 1 on the most valuable container. Not lock one with 2 packs of 7.77mm ammo -.- (thank god for modding) They should have implemented a system where you have to unlock a certain amount of locks and then can auto unlock that lock by expending a single digikey. - Ship parts don't fit to eachother visually, most of the time not even from the same manufacturer. I spent hours in the ship builder to modify my vessel to the most visual pleasing one... (i love sleek, symmetrical and functional)

dude dont get me wrong its good that u are having fun. but starfield is not about exploration even if it about space and has all that "space" it's not about rpg coz it barely scratches that aspect, yeah you can be pirate or destroy pirates but that's about it . there is no decent trading system that really matters , there is no crafting that matters even thou they wasted alot of time to make outposts and weapo/armor upgrade mechanics everything in the game including performance is just a placeholder, no decent space battles . im huge space fan and already have 100h in starfield but damn i feel its had like 10...i would prefer if they used all that time to make something meaningfull so in the end it's laggy shooter with rpg mechanics and placeholder mechanics with cool visuals for screenshots if u have 4090 p.s. oh yeah the ship building mechanic is decent

Im gonna be completly honest with you. - Its alright, but nothing to scream for. Having now played through BG3 with a friend, it feels SO much better made in every single aspect, that it ruins Starfield for me. The bugs, the horrific animations, the repetitive quests. If I had to pay 100€ for this game I would be pissed. If this game wins GOTY, this means that its rigged. Because honestly, BG3 surpasses it by a whole post code

Ehh I tried BG3 and I just couldn't stand it for being a poor excuse for a game in general. The graphics were.. subpar and in regards to the UI, WOW had a better looking UI years ago then that game has now in 2023. The story alone was horrendous. I enjoy Starfield to a certain point and it is far better then BG3 in every way at the current moment, but saying that though at the current period in time there isnt even a game that is out at the moment that is worth GOTY IMHO. The gaming industry is slacking severely with the lack of innovation and vision for new things other then copy and paste tropes. Im just patiently waiting for Outer Worlds 2 at the moment.

@@DavenportOutlaws Granted that if you never played Turn based RPG's before and are inexperienced with Larian games you are gonna struggle a little bit. I cant really tell anything about graphics, was playing almost at Low-Medium as my PC cant really handle much. But the Graphics were never the selling Point. That said, the World is beautifully hand crafted, the Characters have clear differenciation from one another and are really well made (apart of some texture clipping here and there, but hey, we cant give everything proper physics). What ruins Starfield for me is mostly the Character expressions. In BG3 you can see and hear in what mood the Characters are in, you can see their emotions, and the facial expressions are insane. Cant say the same about Starfield which is really lackluster in 2023. And the Story... The Story is replayable in SO many ways with actual consequences from your actions! This has been a continuing Trend for Larian, and especially intense in their previous game, Divinity Original Sin II (which I can only strongly recommend). You can choose which ending you want, and it doesnt have to be the final final one, your game can end many ways before coming to the Thrid Act. The possibilities are absolutely endless in BG3, depending on what and how you play. Havent finished Starfield yet, but as far as I know the ending is the same, and the replayability consists of NG+, where you loose your stuff but the "seed" of the Story (?) is different, to the Point where Sarah is a Pot Plant or Andreja has killed everybody and such things, Im guessing that the ending is pretty much the same. I can understand that BG3 isnt for everyone, dont wanna argue that, its a game that needs time to get use to, and ESPECIALLY good to play with Friends. For me an INFINITELY Superior game even tho I dont really enjoy the Turn based RPG Genre.

I see a lot of people being critical which i agree with, but most people are ignoring what starfield does very well. Makes the universe feel sparse and gives players many options. I personally wish the outpost building played a bigger role and hope it becomes more relevant in future. The process of finding resources and setting up systems is cool but there is no reason to do it.

I do enjoy the game even with some of its shortcomings, I mean I never expected good writing from a Bethesda game so I wasn't too disappointed with starfield in that regard, but the far more empty and lifeless open world just makes exploration such a bore. Bethesda's open worlds with it's insane worldbuilding and storytelling was the thing Bethesda was the best at, but now they have given up on that. Sure they improved on their other shortcomings, but even after improving on those they weren't able to become best at any of those. So now starfield is good at many things, but doesn't seem to be the best at anything.

It makes me feel like I have to force myself to play it. There are no hooks that have me excited to fire up the PC, launch Steam, and play the game. The soundtrack isn't grabbing me either, which is weird, considering I've loved most of the composer's other work. As a musician, that's usually the first thing that grabs me. My review after 60 hours and change, was a 6/10. I cited walking simulator, save game corruption, with no mods at all, quests/activities that give you the trigger for them, but don't actually trigger them. This is especially prevalent with the Kid's Stuff trait quests, I now have two characters that are supposed to go to their parent's home, but no activity, and the elevator is non-functional. So I can't recommend it. I've been sitting at my computer for 3 hours now, Steam is open, and I still have no drive to play. I described it in a post on Steam roughly like this: You get to a big boss battle, and log out. Later, when you return, you look at that save file, and think "I'm not ready for that" and log in a different character. It's like that, but it's on all characters, and there is no boss battle. I'm still trying to finish all the factions, but it's going to be a slow roll, because nothing in this game has me fired up and wanting to get back in there.

The fact that he realized an option to change your “pronoun” for instance to , “they” or “them” is his own personal fault and misunderstanding?? That’s like saying if someone identifies as a dead person but is still alive, anyone who notices said person is still alive, is a PROBLEM. 🤔 I can’t identify as a dog if I’m not a dog can I? Neither can I go and expect benefits of being a living breathing human being, all while claiming to be dead and denying any responsibility of a living person. If your mentality is legitimate, then we all should be able to identify as whatever we want, whenever we feel the need to. It’s a SIN that has deluded the minds of so many people. The man in the video called it a MENTAL ILLNESS and rightfully so.
