Hey I've watched through all the content the last few weeks. The amount of polish on the show is great. And while I don't watch any other actual play series. I found myself watching just to see the story unfold. My primary reason to start watching is because I wanted to play starfinder and wanted to see how the mechanics of the system works.

So... I think this session could have gone a lot better, and next time I run it I'll definitely be making some changes. So, learn from my mistakes I guess... (spoilers for the episode ahead!)... __________ 1. There are a lot of moving parts to keep track of in Gulta, and I even added some small additions that I thought would help (they did not help). In retrospect, I probably overcomplicated the whole encounter and ended up dropping the ball more than I'd have liked. One glaring is example is that Grub is supposed to be blind and deaf - I totally forgot the "blind" part. 2. On the same note, we probably were rushing a bit too much in order to keep the narrative moving. Entertaining jailbreaks typically involve a lot of tension, and I knew the infiltration plan didn't involve a ton of subterfuge, so the tension would have to come mostly from fast-paced action. However, Gulta is very demanding of the GM, so I should have taken more time when moving all the pieces to make sure everything was correct and made sense. 3. Roll20's roll logic was insane during this session. It's almost unbelievable how swingy the rolls were during this session, but if you're familiar with Roll20 you probably won't be too surprised. I promise I did not fudge the rolls as much as it seems. 4. The map art provided with the AP for Gulta is pretty inconsistent with the way it's described in the text, especially the Cell Block area, so I had to make up some details to bridge that gap. I probably ended up being a bit too lenient with player movement, but at the time I felt like the PCs could benefit from some mercy. 5. I know that's not how Full Attacks work, and I basically gave Ukko extra attacks on those cameras... But they're f'in inanimate cameras, and there are only 3 PCs. Get over it. 6. Beyond. I'm sure we'll talk about this a lot more in the episode's commentary...

I thought you did great, boo! The GM's biggest critic is always themselves! Mistakes are gonna happen, but the important part is that we all had a good time and we made some thing great to share with our beautiful audience!

In the end; ask yourself. "Were they players challenged and did they have fun?" If you can answer yes to both these questions you did nothing wrong.

I think you are being overly hard on yourself in all of these points. The session flowed well and delivered for your players, unless you edited out some of the critique they gave you. The Full Attack bit was good to have so people did not mention it, however hardly a game breaker. In fairness I would have dropped the cameras HP to 1 so they broke when their hardness was overcome, this would be perfect for your 3 PC group at this level, however how you managed it was a great way to get more fun injected into the scenario from your players. Keep rolling, it’s good to reflect and improve but for the GM it’s hard because ironically you know too much behind the scenes information to have an objective view on how well the players enjoyed the session.

With both of us doing this as a side passion project we often have to keep up with our normal day to day stuff, so it's hard to put an exact date on release. But most likely it will be a few months before the next one. But we are dedicated to get it done ASAP and with the same level of quality and care, if not more so. I also want to take a moment to appreciate the writing of the adventure itself. I've never played Against the Aeon Throne beyond the first book, but the cruelty they show in this episode is pretty messed up. Severing the vestigial limbs of the shirren, depriving the amphibious creature of water, starving the vesk, and the reflexive cowering of each person to the Azlanti helps sell their villainy. Even the Ikeshti, which I imagine was kidnapped by the Azlanti during rutting and forced down the rivener path, has forever lost its sapience and experiences the greatest shame of ikeshti society.

It was a combination of having a LOT of audio and video to edit, we had lots of new art to make, and on top of that lots of life events slowed us down. For me, for instance, I was laid off from my job so I had to take a break for my mental health and then do job hunting and updating my resume. It took a while to get this episode out BECAUSE we didn't want to work ourselves to death. lol. We do appreciate your concern.
