My Starfinder Society Solarian is mostly built on Photon, or at least I almost always lean towards Photon Attunement. Took the Solar weapon and the Heavy Armor feat to be able to carry a lot of armor gadgets. And of course you have to get the Soulfire Fusion to add to your weapon crystal *as soon as possible*.

Solarian build: Race:Human/Theme:Bounty Hunter/ Feats: weapon focus advanced melee and Improved initiative/ Stellar manifestation: Solar Weapon. This is my level one build so far with str, con, and cha being my three main abilities.

I like the ideaof Solarians. I am DMing a Starfinder campaign and, together with one of my players, we made a homebrew solarian based on "strange matter" stars (green glow)! I really love the system of Starfinder adn the creativity that comes with it

Having a salarion makes for a really good face becuase of the high charisma for the party as well as a captain for all the ship combat

Will you be making a video covering the additions in the character operations manual where the Solarian gains a lot of additions? Also could you provide more visuals of the boxed text or summaries of them? And in the future maybe discuss equipment selections for Solarian ( solarian crystals). Thanks!

Huh...forgot Solarians have a "Ghost" following them. I would be a jerk DM and give that little ball of light a personality and its a smartass. Just floats around humming. lol

Its a pretty complicated class, so i hope this helps explain how it all works so you can build your character concepts. I think drone mechanic is the next complicated from what I'm reading in online forums.

@@TheMapleTable My friends and I have only played dnd 5e, so this system is already a lot to take in. Most likely I am going to have to be the dm to get everyone else used to the game, but I am normally the dm 90% of the time anyways lol. I've been dying to play starfinder since it was released, and I have recently bought a decent amount of the books, there is so much inspiration pack into all of the books.

I had a solider in one of my games. They were the happiest player there. They made so few decisions. I shoot it. There's a bunch? I throw a grenade. My allies are getting hit? I intercept. The only reason he stopped playing a solider was to let someone else play one.

If gravity is stronger around you, with you being the spacial\gravity annomoly, the bullet or fist would accelerate gaining more energy and thus more damage not less. I would say you gain more damage resist as your matter shifts to more dark matter instead of normal matter. Dark matter does not interact with light nor with normal matter besides gravity and only that on a macro scale... Like galaxy level...

That mote REALLY makes the Solarians stand out! They are indeed a complicated class and so we houseruled that they are RARE and have a reputation as potentially dangerous extremists. (like force welders) 🙃 Long story short... The party Technomancer bluffed her way through a tense situation with her Holograhic image spell creating a mote and then through really creative roleplaying (and rolls) outright BULLIED the NPCs to mind their own business and to leave her and her companions to hers. 😂 It was a great event. (I'm sure you guys gotta be there! 🤣)

This class really highlights how awful MAD classes are in a game that has non-MAD options available.

The game has been around for a while now, there are quite a few options for every class.

@@TheMapleTable I haven't found anything that makes solarians less MAD. I guess Solar Flare from the character operations guide makes them a little better by removing STR from the crazy array of attributes they must have to be effective.

@@madprophetus Very late but Solar Flare and Lunar Weapon are both good at making Solarian less MAD, and there's a very low level magic weapon enhancement (I forget what Starfinder calls those) that is only available to Solar Weapon and Lunar Weapon (doesn't work on Solar Flare) that lets you add Cha to damage. Thus, a Solarian that uses Dex as their to-hit stat and Cha as their damage stat is now a viable option. Needing Int to have skills, Wis to not get owned by Will saves, and Con for HP still hurts, though.
