The little girl that played pre-teen Adria is in an upcoming episode of Atlantis as Harmony. And the actor who plays Halling was in an episode of SG-1 and also plays several different wraith in Atlantis including the legendary Todd.

Yt automatically deletes comments as an auto mod setting. If a commenter is posting too frequently or the comment is too negatively targeted the bot erases it. Further out from the intensity of your emotion you probably can see that Failwhale wouldn't be monitoring comments so diligently JUST to delete a couple negative comments while he's abandoned the channel for months now. It stinks of the automod bot. FW saying nothing and just abandoning stuff isn't okay, but heat he gets should be for what he's actually done and not done, and I don't want people distracted thinking he deleted negative comments when it was likely a bot when people should be focused on his lack of communication and not appropriately notifying patreon subscribers. A yt video even 2-3 minutes long explaining he'll be out for a while and a ping to patreon is the bare minimum.

@@darnell2000 either I’m misunderstanding you, or you’ve misunderstood me. My problem is how the episode approaches Lucian. He’s portrayed as a funny, bumbling, misunderstood dude that everyone simply allows to go on his way. The man literally drugged an entire town and used them to serve him. Even going as far as sleeping with multiple women after drugging them. That’s pretty evil. But the episode doesn’t really portray him as evil. By contrast… The Goa’uld ARE evil. The show portrays them as evil. Their actions are clearly depicted as evil and our characters treat them as villains. But Lucian isn’t treated as evil, he’s treated more like a funny, somewhat odd uncle. It’s just really weird to me.

Like many other episodes of SGA, I think the writers went a quite dark path (non-consensual drugging and probably non-consensual sex resulting from that drugging!) and then took a left turn to make it seem less dark. Lucius is a terrible, awful man and he should not walk around in the galaxy - although to be fair, they did leave him with "his" village to pass judgement on. Too bad they weren't tougher on him. This should not have played off as funny as it did and at LEAST should have had a moral commentary. If it'd had that, I would have been absolutely fine with the way it was written, because the "fun" would have had a counterpoint. As it is, the audience has to do the moral lifting themselves.

he did do a little update on patreon. his youtube has always been months behind. but obviously he hired an editor at some point but they must have had a falling out or he didnt want to pay? but his youtube just gets further behind with all the burn outs. he told patreon he would lower the price since he couldnt record any more but even $15 was a lot. he used to charge 10 for early access then made an early early access tier where everything was posted there only. didnt warn that he was even doing that... and now after saying he would drop the price he hasnt and its been months of nothing new to his supportive patron members. this dude was making over $8000 a month on patreon before he started getting called out on that and hide all the possible data we could use to guage how much money he was milking his viewers for. i hate to say it but ive seen a pattern among black content creators. im trying hard to write it off as a coincidence but every time i start to trust another reactor they pull some shady stuff

@@Petrosman But the Atlantis team acted in character here: they cured themselves, cured people from Lucius's planet and delivered him to his people to decide his fate. You could argue that we should've seen how his people would react and I totally agree. But that's the problem on the writing and hardly a big one since this wasn't the first time the show had an episode ending with quick and sloppy resolution yet such episodes don't have a problem of being controvercial. At least I can't recall an example. And if controversy comes from the specific topic raised in this episode then as said, it's people being way too touchy, in this specific case at least.

Someone on the writing staff clearly wanted the audience to understand that he was sexually assaulting his "wives" via mind control, the main evidence being how one wife specifically calls out her former disinterest in him, but whoever directed it clearly didn't get the memo cause they pulled out the goofy music and played up the comedy. The whole thing ends up feeling very ick.

@@senker1544 look up what quite quitting is. thats when people abandon their job without a word. think is i was supported WAY back... he used to upload like 8x a week then he hit burn out years ago and our boy couldnt even handle 2 episodes a week. he told his supporters on patreon 2 months ago he was going to lower his fees since hes not as active but instead hes just kept milking them for $15 a month till they all abandon him. no doubt hes 100% done. which is fine but at least be a man and admit that rather than leading on and taking advantage of people

You are absolutely right! a bunch of Stargates between the Pegasus and Milky Way galaxies to cut travel time by 3 weeks Absolutely brilliant what could possibly go wrong with that (he said sarcastically LOL! ) BTW The character Lucius portrayed by Richard Kind also appeared in the Original 1994 Stargate movie as Gary Myers one of the scientists working on deciphering the gate symbols before Daniel Jackson ( James Spader ) comes along makes them look a little foolish by figuring it out so quickly.

Okay so I enjoy your videos but I am not sure that I want to watch anyone's reaction to this particular episode, as it is making comedy out of a man using an airborne drug to bed women. Lucius is a rapist who should have got the same end as Hathor, not the funny conman this and a later episode seem to portray him as.

@@asherlevin1762 What Hathor does to Daniel and Jack is just is as vile as Lucius, but there are important differences. First of all, this episode is treated as a comedy, and Lucius's actions are intended to be played for comedic effect. The Hathor episode is not a comedy; it is treated seriously, and what Hathor does is shown to be the evil actions of a villain. The other big difference is that Lucius gets away with his actions scot free, while Hathor pays her comeuppance.

I'm an SG1 stan so 99% of the time I'm biased but SGA filler episodes are so boring! I know SG as a whole is tropey but Irresistible takes the whole biscuit tin. When introducing the "villain" you already know exactly how the episode ends and it's not a very innovative story idea or a competent villain. If I can't get a good story, I want a cool villain, useful tech or intriguing junk science. Budget Goa'uld seducto-chemical is a 3/10 for me.
