The Apollo appeared in Season 3 or 4 of Stargate Atlantis. The one you are thinking, which got destroyed by an Ori satellite, is the Prometheus, the previous generation (X-303). There is also the Korolev (BC-304), the Russian one that got destroyed in the battle of P3Y-229 against the Ori.

The Apollo was also in SGA season 5, was badly damaged along with the Sun Tzu in the last episode, but were not destroyed.

@@johnstephens1447 yup the Sun Tzu was crippled and venting atmosphere. The Apollo had to take on her crew and it would take them to at least a month to get to the nearest Stargate because their hyperdrive was down. The Apollo was in better condition but not much.

You have to target the upgraded ships with Asgard weapons as those are powerful enough to destroy Ori ships those were the weapons killing you.

😲I love the style and look of the USS Aventine and gosh yes good finally a Starfleet ship with Transphasics lol. 1 shot each wow..that first battle the explosions and none stop firing was nutz.... lol. Well I see why in the show , O'Neil never backed down. eeh and the forgot his name, missed so much shows jeepers.. This was crazy and interesting to watch.. amazing battle Admiral.. !!! The Apollo survived. She along with the Sun Tzu tried to stop the ZPM souped up Wraith Hive ship on their way to Earth but she was badly damaged. The Apollo had to take on the Sun Tzu's crew as they were crippled and were venting atmosphere. So to help the head cannon, your ventral shields were about depleted and one of the bc304 was firing directly into them. The weapons broke the shields for a precious few seconds to beam the nuke aboard.

Take care of the beam weapons first. You had them targeted and I was going "YES!" and then you targeted away and didn't stick with them, and I knew you were finished. Those beam weapons are darned near 8472 levels of power.

I think the plot device overloaded and exploded at the worst possible moment. Starfleet engineers should really stop installing them on every ship, or at least not lace them with explosives, like they do with consoles. 😛

Yes, but Andromeda wasn't armed like on the show. You know she could fire like 50 million torps from 7 billion kms and had more fighters than the Empire in Star Wars. I exaggerated, but for real, this game didn't arm the Andromeda anywhere near to how the show did

Meanwhile Asgard plasma beam weapons were capable of taking down some of the most powerful shields in a handful of shots. On top of that they had hyperdrive systems fast enough for intergalactic travel in usually a matter of weeks, sometimes a matter of days. I don’t quite know where you got the “low level plasma weapons” idea from…? I absolutely love both franchises and have been with Trek longer, but Stargate ships (specifically some of the ones seen in this battle) are in a league of their own.

I’m not being funny but properly “balanced”, those Asgard beams should have cut through your shields much much faster. They’re unbelievably powerful. STÅRGATE ships are probably among the most powerful in all franchises.

Really? I'd always thought that the shields in Stargate are a plasma based shielding system, and that even the Asgard weapons were a magnitude less powerful than what M/AM reactions provide (which is why the tiny ZPMs were so important?)

@@Kittamaru Naquadah and Naquadriah are somehow more energetic than M/AM Annihilation. They can turn kiloton/megaton nukes into gigaton/teraton weapons by just adding the material to the missile, far outstripping what they would do even if their entire mass was converted to energy. In comparison, all the anti-matter in the Enterprise-D annihilating at once would be around 100 teratons of TNT. The Horizon weapon in Stargate was anywhere between 4.8 to 12 teratons from just six missiles.

@@Kittamaru define what you believe plasma based shielding entails and why you think it weaker? But the Daedalus’ (BC-304) shields tanked a Coronal Mass Ejection for a prolonged period of time (granted they had a ZPM, but it’s an idea of how powerful stargaze shields are). Asgard Plasma beam weapons were able to cut through Ori Warship shields in a handful of shots (Ori being an offshoot of one of the most powerful species in the stargate universe).

@@drwfigureadventures I was thinking in comparison to a graviton based shield system (what the Federation uses), which has the added benefit of gravitational deflection/refraction of incoming ordinance. Though if the simple power numbers are as lopsided as shadowarchon stated above, it'd likely be irrelevant

BC 304's are so ridiculously overpowered compared to Starfleet ships it isn't even funny. And that's before the Asgard upgrades. A post unending BC 304 would be able to take out a few Voyager J's.
