@@kyle18934 The only problem with a new stargate series is the story though, in an effort to wrap things up they made the SGC too overpowered with those Asguard beam weapons and Ancient technologies that can kill ascended beings. When you can defeat the Ori, Replicators and the Wraith after only 10 years there really isn't much in the way of threats. Even before that they made Jaffa and the System Lords basically canon fodder to service the plot. Like bruh, even compare the physiques of the Jaffa in the film vs in the series: in the film you have real warriors who's staff weapons can blow holes in walls, in the series most jaffa you see marching around are small and seriously overweight.

The Asgard were only able to send one ship to the fight and it was never shown to have been destroyed .. The data they collected from the encounter made it possible for them to develop the beam weapon technology ..

@@raydaveyrd I don't think that they would need any ZPMs to cloak, we have seen Ha'taks cloak and they are both larger and produce less power. I am not sure of that sort of cloak would work against any relevant factions (probably not) and the 304 does not have a dedicated cloak. Daniel probably used an Atlantis like shield cloak which may require a ZPM to activate (Daniel says that the ZPM helped) but definitely not 2 (I think it may come down to the Asgard shields while also supporting this sort of operation maybe being inherently less compatible but I would assume that in this case with some time it should be possible to alter them to support cloaking with standard reactors only, of course full phase cloaking could also be a future option or just improving their sensor jamming sweets, after all the naked eye is seldom useful in space and the ship is already invisible to most races below Goauld level so that may be the more viable option) But on a side note I'm not sure of the 304 could even handle the power from multiple ZPMs (or even a single 1 running at full output which almost never happens, even the Atlantis shield can't drain that much power without burning out first, I mean a ZPM can if required dump it's entire energy in an seconds if not less)

@@victorselve8349 but they could build a 305 that was capable of handling the additional output etc which I think was the one weakness of the ancient warships (once you make a ship such as this you only have one way of powering it). But yes I think it would allow them to make a larger vessel that flys faster, had tougher shields, maybe it could have some sort of super asgard beam weapon. They would for sure need to regulate the power etc but with complete access to the ancient database I don't see any issues with them designing and building such a ship. The only reason they didn't let the Atlantis expedition the ability to just build zpms would it make it too easy. They never really addressed that. What if you could fire whilst cloaked or maybe they could come up with some new toys like what vala had on that scout ship. Being able to project holograms into space etc. Lots of ways to use the power of the zpms

That wasn't the Lucian Alliance home planet. The Horizon bomb was used against the Pegasus Galaxy Replicator home world. This clown posted a video of several episodes mashed together. Some are from SG1 and others from Stargate Atlantis. The Apollo and Daedalus also never combined their fighting power in any of the SG1 shows. They however did join together to attack the Wraith and the Replicators during Stargate Atlantis.

Against the flotillas of the Terran Empire from Warhammer40k, even the ORI could do nothing. Especially since Space Marines are equipped to fight creatures of the Warp xD Ori are nothing but creatures of the Warp :D By the way, when the Asgard wanted to bequeath all their technology to the humans, that was the starting point of Terran domination in their dimension xD

Not sure, their supergates allow almost instantaneous trans-galactic transit. It's actually a better form of webway and the hyperdrive is also much more reliable and faster than warp jumps. Also, it's the Imperium, Terran Empire is Star Trek.

But it could also mean that his ship was destroyed and he simply beamed over to Oddysey. Just like people from Korolev and even some Jaffa. But i will keep hope and believ the Oneill simply survived and then took of, leaving Kvasir behind

The odessy was never destroyed over the supergate battle. Earth only lost 1 ship during that battle and it was the Korolev. I just finished watching that episode lastnight.

What really happened with the Asgard ship at the battle? We see it make a pass and that's it. We don't see it destroyed or damaged. Then 2 years later like in this video. Asgard weapons cut Ori to pieces. Did the Asgard just peace out in the middle of the fight? Remember the Ori left one of each ship type alive to spread fear.

We dont know for sure. I guess it survived and a year later they developed plasma beams to counteract Ori..

It's very likely that it escaped. Without the data collected by its sensors, the Asgard probably wouldn't have been able to develop the plasma beam weapon with such efficiency against Ori shields in less than a year.

well to be fair, it was one O´neill vs 4 Ori motherships. But bare in mind that this encounter led to the development of the plasma beam weapons. And we do not even know, if taht O´neill was destroyed. We never saw any wreckage. So it may have very well retreated.

Yeah, I know, you're just working with what you've got but you must admit that was an Ori ship descending on a medieval town. The bombardment of the Planet is a good war scene it shows the true cost of war to the enemy and their allies(If they have any.). It shows that the Tau'ri(Humans of Earth) the 5th Race the Successor to the 4 Great Races Alliance that their are 1 of Protectors(If not the Main Protector of the Galaxy.) of the Galaxy is willing to do whatever is needed to win a war and bring peace to the Galaxy. It as well show's that the Tau'ri do have extremely powerful weapons of mass destruction(At least to most of the Milky Way.) and will use them against their enemies to show them the powerful of their resolve to give a message to other planets and races that join their enemies that if you have join them that they would use all their weapons in their vault to that now they must pay the price for they betray to them and the rest of the Galaxy with joining their Galaxy's Enemies.

That mega multi missile nuke scene was from stargate atlantis which each nuke targeted a asuran replicator cityship that was landed on the planet. It did not blow up the planet. Which in response the asuran replicators launched a satellite with a stargate in it to transmit a massive energy beam to try and destroy atlantis. Ruling by fear and weapons of mass destruction never works out in the end you just end up having your enemies launch there MAD's at you. Everyone loses the second MAD's start getting thrown around. What Antalisis Expedition did was practically genocide, they attacked unprovoked. It would be like launching nukes at another country just for building warships. As far as I am concerned the Atlantis Expedition brought in on themselves when they kept provoking and messing with there base code. Even at the end with the peaceful faction they lied to them and trapped them in space, after they made a deal to help them with ascension.

@@frdbrlw Well I could argue that it was the ancients that brought this to the Tau'ri(Since they are the children of the ancients) seem the Ancients creates the Asuran Replicators as an experimental new weapon to fight the Wraith and with them having a code programmed into the to be extremely aggressive even though they try to suppress it as much as possible; At the end the Anceints betrayed them and tried to destroy them; This felt the majority of the Asuran Replicators holding deep seed hatred for the Tau'ri and their human descendent(with the Asuran Replicators seeing the Tau'ri a offspring that received all their Parents love and attention thus Making them extremely jealous of the Tau'ri.) with them wanted to destroy them.

The biggest battleships have 60 transform canons with 4000 Gt TNT each. This 240,000 Gt TNT equals the asteroid which wiped out the dinosaurs 66 million years ago. But blowing up a planet with this speed requires several billion times more energy.

They diddnt send there best ships tho, the asgard sent tiny destroyers that they could spare, they were under staffed. The free Jafa and Lucian alliance ships were half war time built, and half minimalist ships. None the less if they were built to spec, they still would have lost.

well...Asgard sent one O´neill class ship which is the most powerfull class they have. Remember, it is a whole year after thei war with the Replis. Anyway, as you say, it does not really matter ;)

@@martintaichl I'd say Asgard ships are about the same as Starfleet ships. They both have the same base capabilities. That said, I'm pretty sure Starfleet would get their asses handed to them by the Ori fleet. The Ori are essentially a slightly more limited version of the Q Continuum, and Starfleet can barely handle one of them at a time.

@@CallenExile well asgard ships - even Beliskner - need mere moments to travel between galaxies. In ST the fastest ship needs 70 years just to cross half of a galaxy. That alone makes them more advanced in my eyes.
