Actually, for all of you who say that Asgard shields cannot withstant a drone bombardment, watch the Asuran plot of Stargate Atlantis, where they fight replicators who were able to mimic ancient technology. But, more important: Nice piece of work you got there :D

Wow, this is really good. You did a great job on the Railgun placements on the Daedalus class ships. There were two problems with the Drones coming from the Aurora though; the Drones are too big, they're just little things. Also, they should be coming from only a few small areas, not all over the ship. However, this is one of the best fight scenes i've ever seen for Stargate that wasn't actually in the show.

@Xivionv3 Tauri shields were made by the asgard who were also around during the time of the ancients. That means that the asgard have had 10000 years to make better shields, we never actually saw asgard shields up against drones at any point during the series.

I personally think the animations are very good, the weapons fire could stand to have been smaller for the railguns and faster over all, and the lack of sound took away from the quality a bit, and I noticed the weapons fire passed through the sheilds, not impacted on them. Aside from these small things, it was a great video and the detail on the ships was astounding.

@MrGibbsOfficial The Ancient ships are what a thousand + years old. In the last few seasons of SG1, the Ori came along with brand new tech, to rival that of Ancients, if not superior. After the asguard Upgrades from the Legacy episode, the Daedalus would have superior shields, so technically two 304's could handle alot of drones. Compare drones to Ori beams, then look at the final SG1 movie. Daedalus takes at least 10-12 Ori beams on all sides with full shields. Drones vs Beams, I say Beams win.

If the Ancient Battleship is launching drones, the Tau'ri vessels should have been toast in short order. I also don't think railguns would put a dent in Ancient shields. Pretty animation, though.

and the thing with the zuper hiveship...the daedalus only ever fired its beam cannon once it was "disabled" in the first wraith salvo. also it was just sitting still so didnt even take evasive action. 3 304s together spamming the plasma weapons would chew the zpm hiveship to bits imo. also the odyssey with the ZPM would wtfpwn the zpm hive.

Timofifi ancient ships(2000 meters) are smaller than Wraith hives( 12000 meters) . But you are still right that the x304's railguns couldn't defeat the ancient shields so easily.

The ancients would dominate us as i see here this is the non refit BC-304s meaning no asgard plasma beams just missiles and the railguns however the drone weapons on the aurora class warship does not deploy from cannons all over the hull but from several holes in the hull prefered on the bow and the aft/stern the drones also can pierce any known shield technology adding to ancient superiority and arrogance so basicly when the BC-304s drop out of hyperspace and the ancients react the Tau'ri vessels would be near instantly destroyed

@Johnthepredalien That's actually an easy effect. Just create a sphere, and adjust the shape of it, to encapsulate the 3D model. Set it as transparent, give it a texture, then insert a light at the weapon impact point. After that, it's just scripting the light source to turn on, when you want it to. Takes all of 20 minutes to do, from scratch.

Well, tbf. The only shields Drones cant get through is the ones the Tau'ri developed after they was given the Asgard's Legacy. Plus because of studying drone technology on both Atlantis and Earth they found a way to block drones. Also in "Be all my sins remembered" episode. The Asurans do possess drone technology but its out-dated. During the war with the Wraith and the initial destruction of the replicators (only temporary). The Ancients revolutionized their weps against the wraith.

This is decent but the only thing wrong with this is the texture of the Ancient vessel. You got some of the coloration right but you need to add a kinda fog grey to the mix.

@worshippriest Meh, Ancient ships were all sitting more or less dormant for 10 000 years, you'll recall. Maybe the power conduits weren't what they used to be. Or maybe there's a sabateur on board, or they beamed a small explosive into the shield generator room, or beamed the shield generator itself out of the spacecraft. Stargate spacebattles are rarely slugging matches, after all.

Depends, if we are talking post final Asgard refit 304s they would definitely win but if they don't carry Asgard beams getting through the auroras shield would be extremely difficult (maybe with mark 9s but getting those close and detonating them is not a trivial task) and while the 304s shield can actually block drones and does hold up against Aurora pulse weapons reasonably well it would only buy them time to retreat but not to outlast them.

Well, sorry to dissapoint you rumpel, lad, but the scene where they took out a few Auroras was only because they caught it with them with shields down. Drones also go through shields like they aren't there. Railguns are also noted to be very weak against shields; which is why they aren't seen using em during the rest of the battle; instead beam weapons were.

Nicely done surely not the most realistic video when you think about how it was in the series itself. Maybe thats the reason why people think it isn't that good. I mean Realguns didn't even penetrated Goa'uld shields and now they shall knock out Ancient shields? It's like if a stone age man is trying to destroy a battle tank with small stones and sticks. Pretty good with the graphics. Weapons and shields are all wrong. If you want to use rail guns fine but use the big guns too (Asgard ray). But I will subscribe expecting a longer and more action packed battle. Make the ships move and suffer. I don;t want to know who is going to win til the ending when one them blows up.
